My training buddy is a good deadlifter 320kg/705lbs. I know you need the right build for that lift yada yada, but i've seen 5.3 bb:s pull 240kg/530lbs. The dude who pulls 320kg says that ANY healthy man with some manhood should be able to pull 200kg/440lbs.
I could do this at 16 y/o. 3 or 4 months after learning the lift. Back then i was clean as well. 260x1 is my best single (bw 235 lbs...on1g sustanon as well), consider 210kg/460 x 21 is better though (bw of 200 lbs, about 5 weeks out on 500mg test, 1g eq, 50mg wintabs ed) What about yourself whats your best pull?

remember yates pulled 160kg/350 x 8-10 reps in blood and guts...ok, last thing in the workout, but very moderate weight for one of/if not most freakiest back ever!
important thing is that u do the exercise! excuses come from the guys who swear by single arm cable rows and such ;)

I can do 160 kilos for like 3-4 reps with a belt tops on deadlift, its my worst lift.

I fucked up my back doing Hacks about 10 years ago......anytime I started doing deads again,once I get up to 315-330 my back is ruined. :(
I may start them up soon though and just go for reps with a decent poundage that doesn`t cripple me.

In fact, I can lie..lift much better. Best set I have been lying lifting was 2309874 reps with 18 metric tons. I know, I know, in the virtual world that is easy to beat ;D

Best pull was 525 and that was offseason weight of 214 lbs...it was my 6 th set I was damn lucky to get it, just one of those days..465 felt "light" after i pulled it for a triple so I figured I would give it a shot...love deads and no one does anymore it seems.

Stay natural my friend. Don`t bother with any supplements either. If you have to use one, just do the protein. I prefer the look of being natural. When extremely lean, there is a clarity and crispness to the muscle that I believe is only achieved by true naturals-no drugs of any kind.
I also like being natural because its not a hassle, the gains are permanent and you only have to worry about calories and training. Nothing else. I like limiting the variables and focusing on the two things I love, eating and training. I am not interested in drugs or learning about them at all.

Good timing on your question. I pull today. Only two more workouts before competition. Cycle calls for 600 x 1(set) x 3(reps). Should go nicely. Looking to go 620-640 @220.

I have just now started to train my forearms actually. I made one of those weight stick things. I do need to improve my overall grip strength.
I almost never do direct forearm work, you might have to lower your weights on back at first but the grip catches up quick. Just throw in some overhand static holds for time at the end of a workout.

I deadlift maybe once every three years now, but last time I maxed out on a DL cycle I got 705 @ 235.
nowadays I just do rack pulls from the knees for 10-15 reps, since I have no further interest in seriously injuring myself just to get a few 'likes' on youtube.

I slipped a disc on hacks once...never been the same. I'd regularly put 800lbs on that thing and grind out some good reps.....I was amazing.

People say you can't cheat the deadlift, but don't realize its way harder to do a 200kg pull with a tight back instead of a scared cat hitched pull.

I can deadlift just a smidge (20lbs or so, depending on the day) more than 440lbs.
Regardless of bodyweight.
I've done it at 215lbs, and at 275lbs (fat phase). More bodyweight has never done anything for increasing/decreasing my deadlift. I am officially maxed out on the lift and have been for several years. I have a long torso and shorter legs and arms, which makes me ill suited for the lift (great for squatting and benching though).
But I'm done heavy lifting for the most part. A couple of weeks ago I pulled 430 from the floor to see if I could still do it after a year or so of not trying. It felt real heavy, and I don't think I care to try it again.

At about 185lbs I randomly deadlifted 405lbs w ease when my brother was doing them. Never deadlifted before, and haven't to this day after that. I enjoy doing stiff legged deads for hamstrings, but I've been too afraid of injury to throw them into my routine or do them seriously. I can definitely see the benefit of size/strength that they add.

The meet has a Full Power division and a Deadlift only division. I am only going to deadlift. I cycled my squats along with my deads (for the hip & leg power) but I did not cycle my BP's or even train them on "chest" day.

I`m gonna give this a try. I have been training recently with strict overhead presses and this will surely help with grip and everything else. Do yo do more than one static hold or a few.

I have a giant fat bar for pullups and I also can interchange the diameter of it with other bars. Its ridiculous how much more difficult the fat bar is compared to the thinner ones I have.

Yeah...I slap them on for pull ups as well. I don't do any bi work without them either. At the end of ur deadlift day do holds on one or two sets. We also do alot of farmers walks. The DB's at my gym are them ones with the fat ass grips so thats another thing that helps.

If you have access to a fat bar, use it for static holds, just don't expect to jack it for a couple of days. ;D

That is a brilliant lift. When I was training to look at competition in the under 90kg Strongman I was doing rack pulls with 360kg (Singles). Floor from memory was 280-300kg x 3.
I remember that it felt like something exploded in my head when it did the rack pull.... The owner of the gym came out to have a look here in Victoria when I was doing it... Funny... Felt like passing out.

I know is a pain to get an oficial record..... Me, I hade to do the record in an international competition with international judges and doping control to get it, and we did not have dead lift suits bak then.

back in the day I used to have to work up to a 405 deadlift and psyche myself up for it.
now, some punk ass kids will leave a 405/455lb loaded bar on the floor in front of the rack and i'll pick it up at around closing time after being at work off and on for 13hours and walk it 6-8ft to the rack without even thinking about it.
didn't deadlift in probably a year, and about a month ago at the end of a back day somebody left a loaded bar on the floor with 500-something so I thought 'what the hell' and pulled it for a few, then threw some more weight on it (some kg plates) and pulled 630 for a triple... that's a personal best, after not deadlifting for a year. lol. my face was purple and I was sure I was either gonna rupture a disk or have a stroke... luckily I did neither. lol
that was with Versa-Grips, double overhand btw with a complete stop, no bounce, at the bottom.... pretty sure I could pull 700+ if I gave it a go.
