I have to go with Eric Singer. Better drummer and musician than Peter Criss, more manageable and does his job. They both look the same with the cat make up on. Plus Peter Criss does nothing but whine about Gene and Paul.Meh. There's a lot to whine about.
Eric Singer is a far superior drummer and much better singer.
In Paul's new book he states that before the reunion in 90's, Tommy Thayer had to teach Peter all the drum parts. So, a guitar player had to teach Peter how to play the drums and re-learn the songs that HE originally recorded. Peter = fucking loser.
Tommy also taught Ace all his guitar parts. Ace = fucking loser.
Both of them got mad as hell at Tommy several times, cursing and lambasting him and he had to sit there and take it. I really hope Tommy got paid well.
I am sure Tommy and Eric are both amazing men, however they will never ever replace the originals. All the songs that Kiss is playing at the concerts are before Tommy and Eric...in other words all the songs from the early days of Kiss before Peter was booted out and before Ace left. Peter and Ace are not losers. They just got lost for a while battling addictions which they have beaten, both are sober.

I agree it's not really Kiss without Peter and Ace. However...I have only read Ace's book so far. As far as the reunion...Paul and Gene are control freaks and treated Peter and Ace like employees not like equal partners in a band. That is disrespectful and shitty.
Peter and Ace attained fame and fortune and then blew it. Both had a second chance with the reunion... and blew it again. Read Gene and Paul's books. It's amazing how Peter and Ace shot themselves in the foot and fucked themselves over and over again.
Yeah, Kiss was at their best before the breakup, before all that other crap that came afterwards.
It was during the time of "Alive II" that they were best. With Ace and with Peter.
Unfortunately addiction got to them too hard after that.

Absolutely, RIP. That said, Singer is a real drummer. Criss is a dude who got lucky with some drum sticks. He was the 70s Ringo. No comparison between the two.If Eric is so good, then he can go start his own band. The only music that counts really, is when Peter and Ace were in the band.
Real problem now is Paul's voice. YouTube any recent performance.

He's been dead for decades, music fan.Lol. Eric Singer is alive dude.
Lol. Eric Singer is alive dude.
My bad, assumed she meant Carr.I liked Eric Carr better than Eric Singer. RIP
It is Gene and Paul's band. The Spaceman and the Catman are chracters that are played by hired guns. Thayer and Singer are better than Ace and Peter.
I liked Eric Carr better than Eric Singer. RIP
Ace had the most successful solo album out of the four. Who sang Beth?? Thayer and Singer are playing Aces and Peters music.

Singer is a pro. Im sure he plays better then Peter but he is younger and has more experience. So is Thayer. The 'Unplugged' genre was a horrible '90's musical expression. Kiss jumped on the bandwagon (as is their mercenary wont) and was farking horrible.
But if you grew up in the 70s and saw Kiss in the original Line up doing the Destroyer tour you could never except this clowns. Those are guys that never did anything on there own except playing in a kiss cover band.
Vinnie Vincent and Eric Carr had at least there own costumes and the last good album was lick it up.
I don't Singer and Thayer, its a business but that's all it is. Its funny because Ace and Chris both wrote the biggest hits of Kiss.
Frehleys new Album sounds really good.
Kiss is Gene Paul Ace Peter.
The rest is a cover band

Ace did have the best of the four. Are you arguing that Gene and Paul should have ended the band, or let the two junkies continue to bring them down?No Gene and Paul kept kissing going. However Thayer and Singer should only be thought of as replacements and the way that Gene and Paul try to down play Peter and Aces role in the band is wrong.

Kiss played in empty arenas with out the two. With Ace and Peter back in the band they sold out every Stadion in the world. So when things went south again they just dressed up the Tour manager as Ace and no one figured it out.( For a while) Gene went ,wow we can still make money- lets do it. We play Ace songs with a guy dressed like Ace...lol

Saw them with Carr and Vincent in '83, maybe. Creatures tour in LA, Crüe opened, sold out.Hahahaha I saw the Lick it up Tour! But it was in Europe. Helix was the opening act. Empty arena. Maybe 500 People. Great show. Helix also kicked ass. I was shocked.

Saw them many times after '83, always packed. Not venues like the 70s, but still. Gave up after Animalize tour; music just got too weak. The next time I saw them was at the Dodger stadium on Halloween.(Original line up) Sold out show. It was rally good actually! Kiss made a few really good Guitar albums. Great sound in the 70s. I have to give them respect for it.

I still think Alive is an incredible album, for any era.Not really as much of a "live" album as you may think.
I still think Alive is an incredible album, for any era.You are righ. Its a classic! I still listen to it on my way to the gym sometimes. As a kid I used to look at the Album and be mesmerized. It had everything you wanted from a Rock band. lol
Kiss = The age of Destroyer TourYes Destroyer was there last real good album!
Everything after that was not Kiss anymore
Alive was their best album for sure.
Not really as much of a "live" album as you may think.
Does it matter? No! If it sounds good it is good!
I'd say Creatures was the last good album. Lick it Up was half-good.I like lick it up. Some good songs on there. All hells breaking lose is great.

Agree, but CotN had no filler. Lick it Up, some.I don't think Kiss ever tried to cheat there fans .They just didn't know what direction to go and reinvent themselves. That's what got them in trouble

Creatures of the Night had one good song, and that was CoTN! :D(http://ist1-4.filesor.com/pimpandhost.com/1/_/_/_/1/y/R/Z/H/yRZH/Animation17.gif)
Ooh, I disagree. In the 90s, albums had one or two catchy tunes, and the rest complete garbage. "Uh, All Night," "God Gave Rock n Roll to You," "You Put the X in Sex," absolute shit. But money was still being made. That's why I think Destroyer was there last good album. Then it became almost pop musics.or mainstream. The song Iwas made for.. made probably more money the any of there albums. (That was such a big hit in europe)So they wanted to make both.Hits and good rock music. But kiss fans didn't like that. Lets face it, Kiss used to be really good. But that's back in the 70s
"Cheating" is a subjective term, but they sure weren't delivering the goods.

I weathered Dynasty, but I was young and didn't know any better. Now I'm mostly a classic rock/hard rock/metal guy. Only new band I like is Rival Sons. Old jazz is great, too. Even old country, but not much.Same here, more of the hard rock metal style. Stevie ray Vaughn some old blues. Pretty much anything that's good. Thank god for music. I don't now what I would do with out.
I didn't get anything past creatures of the night. Once ace left that was it for me.

Yeah, I got enough old stuff to last me a lifetime. Don't care to discover anything new.I check it out!
But the Sons f'n rock, give 'em a listen. Modern Zep, with some Joplin, Animals, Bad Company, and even the Doors thrown in. Best shit I've heard since the 90s.
I check it out!
Red Dragon Cartel, (jake e.Lee) ,Adrenalin mob isn't to bad. But I stick more to the good old stuff and new ACDC soon.lol That might be interesting.
its almost 6am. im late for the gym. Was cool taking to you ugly. See ya..
Love Jake (check out Badlands, if you haven't already), but I'm not feeling his singer. And I'm all over anything 'DC.last note. got everything from Badlands. Singer died a few years ago..
