One of the comments mentioned that this place usually has black Rubber plates for weather proofing.
The one dude, big boy, is a legit. PL so id be surprised if he agreed to use fake weights
-
Rich is about entertainment, and that's what he does seriously well. His vids are always worth looking and much talked about. Yes, lots of fake, but who cares?
-
Inclines at 01:55 fake as fuck, at least try to look like you're struggling when lifting those plastic 315 inclines ::)
-
These are my weights and I'm half of his size, why would they be fake? It's a good strenght, a sweet spot I'd say, not too dangerous and not a joke either.
-

315 on an icline after many eyars of training and bein on juice isn't too heavy.
-
Militaries at 03:50 lol, same guy fucking up again. This guy needs to go, can't act for shit.
-
worthless video

I love how bodybuilders talk about "the struggle." Like lifting weights and injecting steroids into you is such a struggle. They way they talk you would think they are enduring some form of horrific abuse and/or obstacles lol

Kai Greene :) King of struggles. Most of them are criminals and mentally insane, so there is an actual struggle. Not a noble one tho.
-
Rich is relatively smart: he had the choice of either overdosing on roids and gh, or injecting with oil, bcaa, of whatever the name is. Perhaps the oil way is less harmfull and easier to maintain for several years?
-
I can see Bostin Loyd standing around in the background with his gf. His vid training with Rich will be next.
Rich's arms are starting to look lumpy. PMMA migration or something.

Synthol is what killed Freakycalves, absolutely destroys the kidneys.

haha lol. I love in the beginning of the video when he is dressed with all that armor, trying to look like a gladiator or something. what a tool lol

at least he had some legit struggles growing up. however, bodybuilding in-and-of-itself, is really some noble struggle lol.

Zakly what i was thinking as I watched this. "Survival at all costs..."? Wtf is he talking about?
He gets tats, works out, injects, eats, and sells ugly clothes...whoa man, epic survival skills

He had to survive those huge injections of PMMA in Mexico and has do arduous daily videos for all his "followers". I bet his hair transplants and other plastic surgery hurt too! Oh and he has to see those awful competition photos of himself with filled arms and bad tats.
This is all far worse than fighting door to door in Iraq or jail. ::)

Lifting weights has many traits similar to the Western Front circa 1916.
-

Ok big guy settle down. They would be fake based on my observations regarding this gym not using grey, metallic plates.
I love how when anyone mentions how strong someone is on video there are always a few guys who say "thats not that strong, i do that shit everyday"
-

I've found some good ways to tell if someone is lying about their bench:
- If it's n*100 where n is an integer then they are lying
- If it's 45 + n*90 then they are lying
- If they say something like "it's about x for about y reps" they are lying (everyone knows exactly what they bench)
- If they say something like "it's really not very strong 20 guys in my gym do more" then they are lying
-
Inclines at 01:55 fake as fuck, at least try to look like you're struggling when lifting those plastic 315 inclines ::)
the guy doing that lift is an insanely strong guy. 315 on incline for him is speed work.

Lots of drama and theater here.
The Boyz in the Hood police radio chatter at beginning trying to set theme of hitting the iron in San Question.
Gimme fcking break......

Thank you.
Want to see real struggles? Wait until they hit 40 with no education, no marketable skills (ripping teenagers off with their "supps" don't count), and deteriorated organs due to being an oil tank.
-

times 2. Anyone who's ever touched gear or any pro hormone who can't incline 315 is pretty weak

I always thought the animal packs were pretty badass and inspiring. Frank had a huge following in his prime got a ton of guys into bbing

Reminds me of Derek Anthony.

They are cool when youre 15 years old. I do not get inspiration from them any more. If I want inspiration I watch this arnold video

Exactly. His "struggle" was nothing more than Getbig outing him as schmoe-bait until his kidneys finally called it quits.
Could you imagine that moron in a 9-5 job? He couldn't be hired to Xerox copies all day.

of course theyre fake
I posted this before, but I've been at Golds Venice when Piano came in with his fake weights, they look nothing like the ones the gym uses.
What I don't get is this is supposedly BBing and who gives a shit about strength? Fake or otherwise?
-

Wouldn't last an hour in a real gym. Everybody wants to be a badass....lol.

It's called... "bring them".
This group of jail tatted yoyo's is most amusing. Is there anyone there doing much on their own? Drugs, oil, and fake weights....heroic.
Piana is one of the more delusional fellas I've come across in my time. Only in the modern age do people get credit for "being real" about all the fake shit they partake in.
What happened to the guy making solid gains, no drugs or bullshit? Much harder and yes, a 1 percenter.
The 5% thing is also fun. If my memory serves me right, I don't recall Steve Jobs wearing one of these? He must not have been in "the club".
I remember the video with Piana fake squatting weight. It's obvious the weights are fake when they fly up and no momentum carries on.
Someone should have told Coleman about the fake weights. He could have front squatted 1500lbs then.
Exactly. His "struggle" was nothing more than Getbig outing him as schmoe-bait until his kidneys finally called it quits.
Could you imagine that moron in a 9-5 job? He couldn't be hired to Xerox copies all day.
Even 6ft under, Derek still is being abused. I think people have way too much respect for the dead. Fuck em'...they're not here and I am. ;) The whole having respect for someone who is dead, when you didn't when they were alive... makes zero sense. It's just another thing people have held on to. So wait... you're a POS today, die tomorrow, so now you're an ok guy who I respect....hahaha

They go to the gym - they push weights around for 30-40 seconds at a time, then have a rest.
Next time you do tricep pushdowns, have a think about exactly what the fuck it is you are doing there. It is actually the most ridiculous thing. Standing there pushing that weight up & down, thinking how hardcore you are.
I had one such existential moment when I was 35 - 9 years ago, doing pushdowns. I pretty much stopped weights at that point other than a full body workout just to keep fit 1-2 times a week. I prefer cycling and running now - but you can never really stop weight training completely.. it does keep your joints in check.
You never forget your first sniff of thong though...

be better off with lifting weights more and doing less cardio. Running and cycling doesn't improve insulin sensitivity the same way heavy resistance training does.

I go cycling mostly because I enjoy it. You can't beat the feeling of having a rabid dog taking a chunk out of your thigh.
Plus, every now and again, I catch some Thai chick looking at my package in my cycling shorts.
I don't really care too much about insulin sensitivity to be honest.
-
That was a oil bag filled cringe fest lmao "we do what it takes to survive" .... " its in our blood".... "now its Real survival 24/7, not to get ahead, but to simply stay alive" nice blowup weights lads

The thing is strength has always gone side by side with bodybuilding. Most people see big muscles and would associate that with being strong. Also pushing heavy weight is impressive.

I'd be really suprised if Piana can hit 500lbs.
A legit 500lb presser wouldn't need to use fake plates as their real strength would be impressive enough.

What in the world is he talkin about in this clip?
"We've all done things we are not proud of, hurt people that didn't deserve it".
Then he goes on to brag about being a major criminal...
"I was once a criminal and would take whatever I could, from anyone, at any time"
Translation: I once went shoplifting with friends and stole some Twinkies.

People should not be surprised at the fake weights. Piano's whole life is fake... his physique, his house, his clothes, his cars, his watches, his tats, his personality, his Youtube vids, etc. It all stems from insecurity and a serious inferiority complex. A psychiatrist could base an entire doctoral thesis on this guy.
Some would argue Rich's antics are a well crafted, self-promotional marketing campaign. If it is, he must not plan on living very long.

Look @ Dennis James - a quality drug dealer human being.
To me - as a follower of the thong - humble (relatively speaking) guys like that are what BBing should be about - not braggards like Rich.
Did you see the guys left arm when he was pressing? Looked like 2 balloons - one at the front & one at the back.,
-
He said he obsessed for years over bench numbers and ego lifted and his best bench was about 500, since then he started doing more pump and volume stuff. Connect the dots people. No way he can bench that now. Jesus some of you are so slow.

Not really, it has all been explained in the writings of uberman, which are only a few paragraphs.

You hit the nail on the preverbal head. Universal created his persona with their well done videos and he took the notoriety and ran with it. Now he has all the 5% bs and people are buying it. Likely over 1m followers on all media.
He's hitting his stride in his latter 40's not unlike CT Fletcher who's hit it in his 50's. These guys will milk it for as long as possible.
-

Oh good Lord. Who the hell hasn't had struggles in the past. Everyone has their own past and problems. It's not unique at all. This tool is just like everyone else. Only he looks like he's digressing and obviously has some kind of mental issues trying to turn himself into CHYNA. Just a tool, nothing to see here.

Hmmm, I watched it and didn't see any obvious fake wts being lifted.
I like the lifting scenes and just think those guys are big and strong, period.
I don't "get it" when it comes to the hardcore , heavy tattoo, street look, but wtf, they train hard.

Rich is a large impressive man with a larger then life persona.
My only thing with him is that he never got close to winning any major BB title.
The synthol and tats are just part of the new era of hardcore types.
I'd actually like to workout and get a meal with Rich and he looks like a cool dude.
I'm not so sure he'd want to hang with me however. :o

Dan Duchaine invented DNP????
and that gem...
How often have you heard people say "let's get this girl drunk and fuck the shit out of her"... all the time, now alcohol is a date rape drug...
Errrrrr.. I don't hear people saying that ever...

Is Rich the only one in the video that isn't Spanish? ....does Rich own a low rider also?

fake or not there is no way a guy rich's size can't bench 500 or close to it.
You're kinda new to all this weight training stuff, eh? Either this or you simply have no clue because you've never really been around, or actually, you know, pressed much more than 275 with some wank standing over you performing bent rows.
His size isn't remotely such that a 500-pound press is a given. I mean, maybe he can, but if so, it wouldn't be strictly because "he's a big guy".
And keeping it "real", no amount of size currently seen anywhere is sufficient to automatically grant an individual the benefit of the doubt concerning his ability to press such a poundage.
In my time, I have witnessed MANY gigantic muscle men who hadn't near the strength capacity required to hoist 500 pounds on the bench.

I'm strong, it can't be otherwise after 14 years of steady training, but he's way bigger than me so I'd think it's not THAT impressive. It's good, but it should be regular for someone his size.

Lol at the skinny fat esse pressing three plates each side like its air ;D ;D

It will be a total mindfuck when they hit the point of deflation(due to: age, health, etc..). Must be tough for them to imagine that.. similar to what DA must've been going through.. posting oil selfies during dialysis sessions. That's what fascinates me the most following this bizarre sport/cult.. the mindset and psychology of it all.
-
LMAO at people think Piano can bench press 500 pounds. 400 pounds would crush this fool.
My favorites are the ones who act like it's no big deal, everyone in my gym can do this, great every-day lift easy to maintain without a ton of gear.
A 500- or even 400-lb bench is a tremendous feat of strength.

Your right bro.
There are so may now they all seem the same to me. Although I do like Frank and Antoine at Universal.

That's true.
In the UK, I've been to several gyms, a few of which were quite hard-core BB type gyms.
Despite this, I rarely see someone press +3 plates aside on a bench. As for 4 plates (+400lbs), I think I could count the number of times I've seen that with my fingers.

Fixed.

typical powerlifter who can't accept the fact that there actually are guys like rich who have benched 500 who didn't need to train with singles, become a bloated pig and get to 20% bf to do so. Even Your pretty boys like Titus, Frank Sepe...were benching 500 raw in their twenties. Using typical bodybuilding routines...

You're a clueless dreamer... Watch Rich's videos on the topic... He used to train low reps, lots of rest, all ego chasing the number... And even with that and all the drugs he took, he benched about 500 or so he claims for a single... No way he can do that now, since he doesn't train like that anymore... Stop living in your fantasy world kid...

Like it matters what he eats... speaking of "throwing in garbage here and there..."
Greg Valvolino now has an identical twin.

Will be very interesting to see the resolution to the Rich Piana situation.
