Is a calorie really just a calorie? ???

Is protein straight from the source the way most getbiggers diet?

Is a calorie really just a calorie? ???
For bodybuilding the answer is no lets say I am trying to get in shape and I woke up this morning and took in 500 calories of whey protein with maltodextrin I just crashed my blood sugar levels increase my insulin and body fat storage, as opposed to having that 500 calories in yams, fish and coconut oil which would give me stable blood sugar levels and help me lose weight.
-

The best way to take your protein is with fiber and healthy fats the body absorbs it a lot better as opposed to just taking protein without fats or fiber.

I heard the stray hairs help slow absorption for max gains

Isn't Protein straight from the tap the best way?
Well if you want to drink semen it does have a little bit of protein, amino acids and fructose so my advice would be to suck at least 30 cocks each day to get a decent amount of protein.

whats your go to post workout meal?

What is your opinion on Schmoe-Squats, better than regular ones?
-
whats your go to post workout meal?
Science has shown that the anabolic window is 24 hours after you workout to get a meal in so no rush with the post workout meal if you are looking to remain lean I would reccomend a meal with slow digesting carbs protein and healthy fats.

8 Inch biceps
What is your opinion on Schmoe-Squats, better than regular ones?
If you are excited at the idea of a man's crotch rubbing against your butt as you squat then it might be a good way for you to work legs.

so you don't recommend a high glycemic carb post workout to replenish glycogen?

my hands smell like chlorine... now what?

How many proteins for massive body muscles ?
If your ' friend ' take lots of drugs and you drink his proteins will you get extra results??
-
so you don't recommend a high glycemic carb post workout to replenish glycogen?
No that is not needed for a bodybuilder the only person who would need high glycemic carbs after a workout is a marathon runner.

Not even close, its about 20% if that.
-

If your ' friend ' take lots of drugs and you drink his proteins will you get extra results??
Bodybuilders consume way too much protein even if you are on deca which increase protein synthesis you really dont need more than 1.5 grams of protein per bodyweight, keep your carbs high to give you that full look.
-
is a ketogenic diet best for fat loss?
Its good for short term fat loss but not long term the best thing for long term fat loss is to keep your blood sugar levels stable everyday that means staying away from refined sugar and high glycemic fast digesting carbs.

Current: 5'11 190 10% bf

So I can eat whatever I want as long as I avoid refined sugar and high glycemic carbs?

Pretty much you don't have to be too restrictive with your diet as long as you keep your blood sugar levels stable you will be fine.

If that is your goal you need a good steroid stack.

how much of a role does effective training play in your opinion?
-
8, thanks for contributing for those who are serious about their diet.
My question has nothing to do about dieting but rather it's about VINCE GIRONDA's early day 'advanced advice' about dieting and protein intake and other related muscle growth matters.
Back in those days VINCE offered a number of interesting suggestions regarding this subject matter which usually turned out to be major topics of conversation among us Gym Rats, but I never did write any of then down nor can I recall any.
Do you know or can you refer me to a website that may include some of the Vince Gironda suggestions he offered.
I think that some GetBiggers would be interested in what he had to say!
Most of us agreed with his suggestions except for his "No Squating advice". In fact Larry Scott had to visit another gym on leg day even though he was a Gironda Gym member almost exclusively.
Thanks, 8

What do you think is an effective training program. I am bored with mine currently. I know I will not gain any more muscle, but I just need something else to do.
Give me a routine that is the most efficient, yet I spend the LEAST amount of time doing. I will follow it to the T and let you know. (I expect to gain nothing though, but I would like something different than the boring German volume training that I am doing)

The most efficient is the one which stresses the muscle in the shortest period of time.
Just find exercises that do that and keep doing them.
There are no exercises better than another.

KANNIBAL, Thanks for the link to the Vince Gironda story. I'll start reading it tonite to refresh my memory about his training and dieting advice. As I recall it was pretty damn interesting and many bodybuilders found it a bit controverrsial.
Thanks, again. Stunt

Actually the role of training is very small, if you have one dude who half ass it in the gym but is on a strict diet and another dude who go hard in the gym but is on a crappy diet the dude who half ass it in the gym would look better.

When a bodybuilder gets to his genetic limit the best thing to do at that point if you dont want to juice is to work on your weak points to build a more balanced physique example your legs are lagging so you cut back on your upper body lifts and do legs two to three times weekly, you can also focus on strength because i have seen natties who are at their limit still increase their strength.

Do you recommend grapefruit in the diet?
-
Do you recommend grapefruit in the diet?
Actually grapefruit is very good and should be part of your diet it has a enzyme in there that helps your body to regulate sugar by lowering insulin levels so it helps you to burn fat, you can also take grapefruit extract if you dont want to eat the fruit.

I disagree
right now I'm ripped when veins on my abs and I had McDonald's twice today, for breakkie and din din, and I've just polished off 6 chocolate chip cookies and 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream right before bed
am I genetically blessed? don't think so coz when I don't train hard and effectively I DO NOT look as good
TA, I do up to 20 sets per body part, but about 6-8 of those sets are hard sets
you probably don't need to do that much, but I'd say at least 3-4 hard sets per body part
-

How do you not feel like shit eating that way? You and TA. Your metabolisms need to be studied. Like converting pure garbage into clean energy lol.

I reached my limit years ago.

Some can truly eat whatever they like and not get fat. Double cheeseburgers, pizza, ice cream… anything, all the time - abs. Its genetic.

not even that. Granted, with the roids and high metabolism, and not piling on the calories, I can see some people staying lean. But to have the stable energy and a clear head on regular cookies, ice cream, mcdonalds is just a marvel to me. Just IMHO.
-
what are your thoughts on the Paleo diet?
-
It depends on whether or not one uses drugs. Drugs change the way the body utilizes food. What would happen if you ate like that as a natural?
Drugs add an important variable to the equation, it's hard to tell if it's the diet, training or the drug combos and dosages that are producing results in the look of the physique.
The only ways to tell for sure is to train naturally, or use the same drug protocol for a very extended period of time. Most drug users are constantly changing their dosages and adding/removing compounds, which changes the look of the body independent of diet and exercise.
All we know is that pro bodybuilders have upwards of 50 lbs of lean mass over naturals, and ALL OF THAT EXTRA MUSCLE MASS IS DUE TO DRUGS NOT DIET OR TRAINING. ALL OF IT!!!!!!! (I'm assuming a diet of adequate calories and protein to support the extra drug mass, and training providing adequate stimulus for max hypertrophy)
Pro's are pro's because they are willing to put in the WORK and SACRIFICE.
How many of you can wake up in the middle of the night to drink a quart of skim milk and take another multivitamin?
That's why they're pros.

I mean, just look at the post activity in bodybuilding forums. Most of the posts are in the steroids section, versus the training or nutrition sections.

Nutrition: 67734 posts 21%
this site has a 'training' section? I had no idea.

I hear you. For me, fat is the key to mental function and energy. I consume a lot of olive and coconut oil... if I cut fats from my diet - mental focus takes a nose dive.
I damn near consider olive oil to be a cognitive enhancing substance.

Drugs totally override training and nutrition in creating a physique. It's laughable when people on grams of gear talk about training and nutrition as if it makes a huge difference for them.

fuck I don't know man, but I do know that if I eat like this and not train my ass off I lose dryness and rippedness
I'm doing doubles now coz I'm bored as fuck, but doubles aren't required, although I'd say 5 days a week is, as a minimum

I have some old natty pics here and 15 put me @ 5%
I was also eating shit then but training my ass off
in my experience training is the catalyst even more than drugs
this past winter I was playing with clen and t3 and I'm leaner and harder now than I was then, again it is the training in my case
I'm also running test/deca low test higher deca and I will be getting some dbol next week so I'll lower both test and deca and add the dbol
I want them motherfucking leangains, but I better cut my training down to once a day, or maybe doubles just twice a week and not 7 fucking days a week lol

8.25 ounces of Karaage Hawaiian Fried Chicken and Hawaiian Macaroni Salad that I made.
2 Large Servings of M&M Peanut Butter and Chocolate
Reeses Pieces King Cups
Biscoff Cookie Butter Spread on English Toasting Bread that I baked
1/8th of Key Lime Pie that I baked with Patron Citronge Whipped Cream that I made

It has nothing to do with genetics its all about insulin some people naturally produce very little insulin so even when they crash their blood sugar levels the insulin does not go up that much so they don't get fat, but you are still at risk for high blood pressure and diabetes from your bad diet.
-
what are your thoughts on the Paleo diet?
Its ok but I am not a fan of it I don't believe in putting people on a diet that is too restrictive because they get tired of it and eventually quit its better to just eat a normal healthy diet.
-

Actually nutrition is very simple and not complicated the problem arises when you have all these companies trying to sell you snake oil and put misleading information out there.

When cutting down(natural), would you include many carbs in each meal. And what would the benefit be other than helping with hunger pains/eventually binging.
-

Yes you can cut with carbs but it has to be slow digesting carbs like yams, sweet potatoes etc the most important thing is to control insulin levels, workout on a empty stomach and wait a few hours before eating your post workout meal, the reason for this is to keep your insulin levels low so it does not block your growth hormone release.

I'm quite happy with 9 inches, but the girls want more. Is there any particular food I can eat that will get up to an even 10"? The girls would appreciate it. Thank you.
