Title: Best Arms Ever? Sorry Ronnie , Sorry Phil

I always said Priest

http://www.musculardevelopment.com/news/the-mcgough-report/15111-best-arms-ever-lee-priest-or-roelly-winklaar.html#.V5Fa6OuAOko

1 - Lee Priest: Thick, round and developed from every angle. He gets the vote because of the sheer unequalled balance between all aspects of his massive arm development.

2 - Roelly Winklaar: Just so much mass just hangs from his upper limbs, that his arms just stop the show when he’s “on”.  Tough choice between him and Priest.

3 - Phil Heath: Round muscle bellies, razor triceps and huge forearms that look like they have another biceps in the flexor region.

4 - Paul Dillett: Long muscle bellies with thickness and shape.

5 - Marko Savlanein: My pick for the craziest biceps peak ever. (Marko from Finland hit the scene like a meteor in 1997, but quickly burnt out.)

Honorable mentions: Aaron Baker, Joe Bucci, Boyer Coe, Josef Grolmus, Mike Matarazzo, Eddie Moyzan, Alois Pek, Sergio Oliva, Freddy Ortiz, Thierry Pastel, Jose Raymond, Vince Taylor, Casey Viator, Robby Robinson, Flex Wheeler

I think Priest's forearms and short arm length made his biceps appear out of proportion/smaller than they actually were.

Thierry Pastel:

I'm no fan of Ronnie, but to miss him out is stupid. Where's Arnold? Who really has better looking arms in the FDB? Ridiculous. I agree with Lee being number one in terms of overall balance.

Priest and Roelly have the size for amazing arms with great balance, but they are no where near as conditioned as Ronnie's or Phil for that matter. Especially from the front and back.

Best arms from the front and back. Size with conditioning.

I've seen Priest in person precontest and offseason. I was underwhelmed. His arms are overrated. His arms are too short to be the best. They're complete but definitely not the best.

For me the best arms of all time would be Phil. The only reason he beats out Ronnie is because of Ronnies triceps.

Lee Priest in general was vastly overrated. He looked good from the front but from the rear almost always had watery glutes and hams, and his back double was average. And he was more narrow than Heath. Priest was alot of hype. Overrated overall. Flex Lewis is better than Priest ever was.

Not best of all time, but in terms my personal arm GOAT I remember seeing Lou's early '90s comeback B&W photoshoot in Flex and in particular his FDB.  His arms struck me at the time as almost perfectly symmetrical and aesthetic.  The pic lived on my refridgerator door for quite some time (nh).

I can't find that exact shot, but if was from this shoot (below) and I'm sure a lot of you will remember the one I mean (it was only 20+ years ago after all!)  Lou - $40 Western Union being wired to Ferrigno Enterprises as we speak...

This a complete arm.

I agree with you, ND. People seem to forget that FOREARMS are also part of the arm and Ronnie sort of had dinky forearms. They nowhere near matched his arms, especially his biceps. Ronnies triceps were good enough.

With that said, if you took into consideration the balance between bicep, tricep and forearms, then, yes, Lees arms are more complete when compared to Ronnies.

Please tell me how Priest has a better arm than Phil. I'll wait for the bullshit.

Maybe you missed this?  ???

1 - Lee Priest: Thick, round and developed from every angle. He gets the vote because of the sheer unequalled balance between all aspects of his massive arm development.

You could make a case for Phil though , Ronnie? NO

I didn't ask you to repeat with MD said I asked you to tell me why Lee Priest has a better arm than Phil Heath. Sheer unequalled balance between all aspects of his arm development does not say that he's better than Phil Heath.Phil Heath is miles above the priest in our development.

I just said you can make a case for Phil didn't I? You can make a case for Roelley too. But to say Phil is miles above Priest is fantasy. You could make a case for any of them in all reality but Ronnie? NOPE

Easy , His arms are complete. Biceps , triceps and forearms. Ronnie had great biceps that's about it. huge triceps but didn't match his biceps or forearms.

This a complete arm.

That arm is no better than Lance Dreher's in his prime.

Meaning....it is probably not even top ten all-time.

He doesn't. Phil has a great balance between biceps, triceps and forearms. He also has the size. So, yeah, I could definitely see why Phil has overall better arms than Lee.

However, when it comes to Ronnie, he may have bigger arms than Lee, but he doesn't have a better balance because his forearms are dinky and small. Lee has a better balance between biceps, triceps and forearms. As such, his arms are more complete.

Roelly never came in as conditioned as Phil nor Ronnie ever was, his conditioning is garbage, his arms aren't impressive compared to the two mentioned especially in the double bi shot where Phil and Ronnie are ripped to the bone

I think that if Arnold got his bodyfat a little bit lower there would've been a visible split bicep.

I is somewhat visible here; but there is just a thin layer of bodyfat that is obscuring it.

This guy always had freaky biceps like that, even before synthol was invented

Well, he has been talking about his use of synthol in his own blog, so I wonder which one of you two has better knowledge about this? He tells that he used it to bring up some undeveloped muscle groups like rear delts etc., but not in his biceps..which on the other hand, were only thing which lift him above the average pro BB. I wonder if he is lying....oh gee would it be possible? A lying bodybuilder? I never realize it would be possible..

In what manner, in his front double bi I can clearly make out two heads of the triceps, in priest, it's simply a hanging lump that is full. You can see the long head of the triceps and it's insertion, the short head , it's missing in priest.

Everyone has a bicep split, everyone, it's a BI-cep, not everyone has the thin skin and shear muscle mass to externally show the seperation. If you can see this in ronnie, and barely in priest (You can see it begin but the tissue is shit so the tie ins are blurred), something other than definition and size is being given favor.

That's simply to do with the length of the muscle belly.
