So by week 8 you will be at 1200 calories, sounds like a well thought out nutritional plan!

1400!
but i hope i only have to go as low as 1600 i got quite an active lifestyle and i dont need to shred that much fat
now the challenge is to try to squeeze as much nutrition into those meals, while sticking to the carb/fat/protein ratio in total
breakfast may only be 300 calories, but i might as well make that be about as good calories, nutritionwise, as possible

If you want to keep the muscle without drugs:
1g p/lb with 100g f/d and 100g c/d, then refeed once a week properly and continue on for 6-8 weeks maximum.
During low carb days, depletion workouts, after refeed one heavy workout.
Simple...

Doubtful unless you are on drugs.
You will look more muscular though because you are leaner.
How did you come up with your calories numbers? What kind of science did you use to decide on them?

well i know my daily intake and i need to eat less in order to lose weight

well i know my daily intake and i need to eat less in order to lose weight
That's one way but you need to know your daily metabolic requirement.
There are calculators online to help you figure it out.
Then eat 500 cals less a day to lose 1 lb week. 250 less to lose 1/2 lb a week.
You want to lose weight slowly to hold on to as much muscle as possible.

A selfie will suffice.
You need before and after don't forget.

You should add a weight training program to that.

You sure you'll gain muscle with only 25% of your diet being protein?

research shows that sharing your goals with others greatly increase the likelyhood that you will reach them

If that be the case....then sounds like you're ready to post up those "before" pics. Attention whore correctly at least.

You got me with the advanced meal planning part. I am much more of a spur of the moment type of person. There is no way I could plan exactly what to eat weeks in advance. Guess I will stick with the 'listen to my body' diet.
-
do you think i should get a professional photographer to take pictures of my abs at the end of the diet?
Yes, because proper lighting is a prerequisite for excellent photographic results....particularly when it comes to abs.
-

well i try not to overthink it too much, 6 meals is basically breakfast (which most people eat anyway, most of the time the same), lunch and dinner. and add to that 3 small meals (can be very small especially on a diet when you dont need to go overboard with calories, like a banana and a glass of milk)
from my usual diet of way too many soft drinks etc just cutting out that will go a long way
-

Soda ruins everything. Tonic water with a generous squeeze of real lemon juice is much better. If you snack on a small quantity of either salted or unsalted nuts, it will boosts good fats and protein.

-Makes sense. You will prove the naysayers wrong while feeling some responsibility toward your support and not wanting to let them down.
-

Okay. However these won't be truly before photos. Right now is before....honestly before you begin on this journey toward your goals.

If you like eating this, canned albacore tuna packed in water is a great way to insure you keep your protein intake high. There are 16g of protein, 0g fat and 70 calories in a 5.4 oz can. Kirkland Signature brand is great and not too expensive.

I really like tonic water but it is full of sugar too, usually corn syrup.
Gin and tonic on a hot day...refreshing.
-

No U will NOT , nobody can transform fat into beef ;)

32 g of sugar in a 12 oz bottle or 10% of the daily suggested amount of carbs. One drink shouldn't be that big of a deal. If you prefer no sugar, go with club soda, which only has a trace of potassium and salt.

Don't eat canned fish, totally tasteless .........eat fresh fish.
Just like "Coconuts" water & real coconuts juice !.

3-5 large coconuts every day ;) $ 1.50 each

I'm not phobic on sugar but as a comparison...
Coca-Cola has 39g sugar in 12oz can.
You suggested tonic water was better than soda.
Why is it better?
-
ill stick to water only. will be interesting
first time in, well ever, ill be without sodas for 6-8 weeks straight
-
don't forget grapefruit juice to bind to the drug metabolizing enzyme and the drugs stay active longer in your body
-
damn there's a lot of fat in everything. i will have a hard time getting 15% of my calories from fat.. probably have to up that to 25%
not sure if it make a difference :D

Calories is all that counts. Eat all the fats you want just not hydrogenated fats.
-
good
this 15% of that 30% of that counting protein/carbs/fats were driving me nuts

The macro thing is just a guide. Don't obsess over it.
Calories in/calories out with a balanced diet.
Everything else is BS.
-
for those 6-8 weeks i will stop drinking sodas, eating snacks, candy and junkfood!
what about the narcotics..? planning on stopping them...?
ps - good luck
-
i got it down to 50% carbs, 30% protein 20% fat
makes it's easy
say i start with 1800 calories, and want to drop 200 calories for week 3-4, all i do is remove 2 bananas from the diet = 1600 calories.
everything else stay the same.

I would choose fresh Albacore/Ahi tuna if it weren't for the price.
Fresh Yellow Fin Ahi tuna steaks cost $30 a pound. https://www.amazon.com/Pounds-Sushi-Grade-Yellowfin-Tuna/dp/B007MQR7CE
Fresh Albacore tuna 12 oz. $31.65 https://www.shopandersonseafoods.com/p-11-fresh-albacore-tuna.aspx?gclid=CjwKCAjwkrrbBRB9EiwAhlN8_FiJXEnLw2ZQMSHsFwKoolYFA6kJpHYvZaNjqwgQJoXQ7Yk1CtCxvhoCwJAQAvD_BwE& (https://www.shopandersonseafoods.com/p-11-fresh-albacore-tuna.aspx?gclid=CjwKCAjwkrrbBRB9EiwAhlN8_FiJXEnLw2ZQMSHsFwKoolYFA6kJpHYvZaNjqwgQJoXQ7Yk1CtCxvhoCwJAQAvD_BwE&)
