His roaring reminds me of Chris Farley.
-
Should have gone outside with him/it.

Yet more evidence of Mental illness in public
It needs psychiatric help - failing that, a Bullet.
Problem Solved.
;D
-
The epitome of a kick in the throat candidate!!
-
It´s funnier for brazilians and latinos because when the tranny says "It's madam! It's madam!" we can only hear "It's Man! It's Man!". :D

The bullet is much cheaper and effective.
-
Wouldn't be surprised if the person filming was with this ma'am while they were out looking for a confrontation.
-
Wtf is this a joke,in some countries there are still prudent men who would do the only right thing and kick stomp this creature in the parking lot.
Enough with such monstrosities, where are the hot feminine trannies at?
-
is it the trailer of Rambo 6?
-
Yup, Bullet to the head, Alice Cooper guillotine, whatever it takes, kill the froot-loop... Waste of space.
-
that trans testicle is getting testy.

Decades ago maybe psychiatric therapy may have helped (although I doubt it) but today they would probably be encouraged by their shrink to continue to be delusional.

The rampant mental illness in society is reaching critical mass.
The best outcome for this deeply troubled man is a relentless beating that results in death.
-
Looks like the dude from "Dumb and Dumber".
-
"Yes, this is corporate. How can we help you, sir?"
-
"Yes, this is corporate. How can we help you, sir?"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Perfect!

What are you if you are born with a penis and testicles plus a vagina?
-
What are you if you are born with a penis and testicles plus a vagina?
Then they can go off and fuck themselves silly... SILLY...
-
What are you if you are born with a penis and testicles plus a vagina?
A freak mutant. What else?
-
Call a person whatever they ask you to. It's good etiquette and sometimes avoids outbursts such as the one in the video. However, both characters in the video are acting badly.
-

Funny and quite silly too. :)

Figures you’d say this.
I’m not entertaining someone’s delusion.
-

Good point. Where do all these videos come from?
-
A freak mutant. What else?
Probably not the nicest term to use, but it is correct. Only a very small percentage of the population are born hermaphrodite or intersex.
-
He should have kept calling that disgusting creature sir to antagonise it further till it snapped and attacked him and he had an excuse to beat it down.
-

When I was a youngster, many of my friends would call my mother ma'am, which was and is polite. My mom would tell them to call her Mimi. This was her nickname. Should they have complied with her wishes or stuck with what they had been taught?
-

Wrong. The customer is always right.
-
Wrong. The customer is always right.
Not wrong, That creature dosent qualify as human never mind a customer, forgetting it’s disgusting homosexual attitude it deserved a savage beat down based on its appearance alone
-

Horrible comparison.

I partially agree with this, but also disagree with this.
If someone wants me to call them "X," I may or may not do it. If I had a best friend, whom I have known for 30 years, wanted me to call them a specific name, then I would oblige, obviously. On the other hand, I am not obligated to call a random person a particular name, just because they want me to. And, if I don't want to call them that name, they should respect my wishes and move on, without causing an outburst. There is no excuse to act disorderly.
I DO NOT want to be obliged or be expected to do anything, just because people expect me to. If I oblige someone's request, it's based off of my own self-conscious decision, not because I should call a "person whatever they ask you to."

You can call me "Massa" 8)
-
Wrong. The customer is always right.
No you’re wrong
That thing & things like it are a curse on society
Anything & everything shouldn’t be allowed
That’s partly why the western world is in such turmoil & decline.

Horrible comparison.
The cultural and societal expectations are that children call their friends parents Mr. and Mrs. XXX or ma'am or sir.
When I was growing up, I called my friends parents Mr. and Mrs. XXX. But, as I got older and knew them better, I actually started to call them "mom and dad." I have one friend, whom I have known for like 30+ years, since Ive been like 7 years old. These days, I don't even knock on the door when going to his parents home. I just walk in and I'm like "Hey, mom and dad." I go into the refrigerator without even asking, etc. Would I do this the first day I met them? Of course not. But after 30 years, they actually encourage and expect it.
I hate this whole "I am expected or obligated to do X" just because some person, whom I have never met, asks. Everyone situation is different. I may or may not oblige that person's request, depending on the context.

If you were the counter guy at Game Stop when this individual came in, would you call him sir or ma'am?
-
That thing needs to be subject to a blanket party.
-
If you were the counter guy at Game Stop when this individual came in, would you call him sir or ma'am?
Probably neither. When I was a teenager and worked for a department store, I usually just said, "Hi, how are you."
To be honest, knowing today's political climate, I would call them neither, as I would want to avoid a confrontation. That is what is happening in society. One wrong slip, you're fired, then can never find another job based on one video. One has to be very careful these days.

Horrible comparison.
Not at all. Politeness and proper etiquette apply to both situations. Just answer the very simple question, should you call someone by what they ask you to or not?
If I were the manager or the owner of that store, I'd fire the clerk for arguing with the customer and fueling the ruckus that ensued.
This a different situation, but it goes to show that the customer is always right.

Sure. From this point forward you can call me "Massa" 8)

Sucks that the cashier wasn't Squadfather - the snide remarks and resulting meltdown would have been worse than 9/11.

No racism isn’t good
Only big deal - He got asked to leave - Wrongly so
How many countless number of people of all colours have wrongly been asked to leave
Various places - It’s Happened to me - I wasn’t happy about it at the time - Only in the
Grand scheme of things it’s one of those things that happen - people make mistakes.
There are Far Bigger issues to deal with in The Real World
-

If you can call a shoplifter a customer than there are situations when the customer is wrong.
-
Prime you sound like a woman trapped inside a man's body
-
Prime is letting his rabid insatiable lust for the masculine tranny cloud his better judgement regarding the issue at hand
-

Yes this hahahah.

;D

Reminded me of this guy
-

You can hear me? Amazing!
-
The customer is always right saying is just some capitalist bullshit. Customers today are wrong alot. I stand on principal, get the fuck out SIR!
-
Yeah, I hate that saying. Usually the customer is an asshole.

My name (not my handle here), is pretty hard to mispronounce. On rare occasion, someone meeting me for the first time will add a second syllable. It does not offend me, but I would still correct them. If someone called me ma'am, I'd think that they must be both blind and deaf. :) Still, I wouldn't be annoyed so much as amused. I would point out their mistake to them, dropping my trousers if necessary. ;)
If someone asked me to address them differently, I would not feel obliged to comply with their wish, but I'd give them that courtesy anyway. So, if you decide that you'd like me to call you shithead, I will. :)
-
Yeah, I hate that saying. Usually the customer is an asshole.
Of course they're usually assholes. Nice people don't give clerks a hard time.
This reminds me, in 2017 The Oregon Court of Appeals unanimously upheld a 2015 ruling — and a $135,000 fine — that two Gresham bakery owners discriminated against a gay couple by refusing to make them a wedding cake, violating Oregon law. I don't agree with this ruling. It does example that legally, the customer was right. "What a world...what a world."
-
America needs more mental institutions.
-
Another example of the customer being right. DoubleTree Portland has fired a security guard and manager who evicted a black hotel guest earlier this week after he took a phone call in the lobby and the guard questioned what he was doing there. http://www.towleroad.com/2018/12/doubletree-portland/
-
America needs more mental institutions.
No kidding! The lack of mental health facilities is often cited as a reason for increases in homelessness.
-
Anyone know this guy's name?
-
Mental illness.

Well, that's the fundamental difference. You will call them what they want to be called out of courtesy, but that's still your conscious decision to be courteous toward them.
That is much different than being obligated, bullied, expected, or legislated to honor their requests.
To the best of my ability, I try to be courteous to others in order to best meet their needs. I just won't be bullied into doing so.
What's happening is a perfect example of the social psychology term, Psychological Reactance (PR). The exact definition, "The tendency to resist being influenced or manipulated by others, usually by doing the opposite of what is desired or expected."
This is precisely why Trump won. People felt like their rights were being taken away by the left by limiting free speech and trying to influence and manipulate speech on college campuses, etc, what other people do and say. So, what did people do? They did the exact opposite and voted for Trump, who, in their minds, represented the opposite.
The Liberals/Democrats still have not learned that people don't change by being bullied. And, if they are being bullied into change, its a superficial, behavioral change, not an reorganization of cognitive structures.

Okay. I get it. This is not an issue which should legislated. We were talking about two different things. Common courtesy and business ethics aside, everyone should be allowed to address others as they please without fear of being sued for discrimination. Sometimes, what is right and what is real don't jive.
If we stick to the content of the posted video, I think the store clerk was out-of-line. I also feel the character making a ridiculous fuss about how he or she is addressed is wrong. However, there are often consequences for what we do or say. To be completely fair here, the clerk should be fired and the customer should have been escorted out of the store and perhaps given a no trespass notice.
I thought transgender people prefer gender neutral pronouns. Yo'self, verself or perself are all possibilities.
The whole event was likely a setup for a Youtube post. Youtube, selfies and senseless soical media websites....everyone believes they deserve 15 minutes of fame. ::) We've become a very narcissistic society. SAD (how very Trumpian of me)! ;D
And...I am a fairly liberal Democrat.

By not yielding to the customer's very simple and frankly harmless request to be addressed as ma'am.

From a business perspective. How the clerk feels personally is irrelevant. The 'what's it' posed no threat to the clerk.

Well, in this day and age, any business is prone to being "shut down" for the most minor perceived offense.

We can agree about this. I, for one am not delighted by our sue happy, money grubbing society. -Punitive damages ugh! The couple who once owned Sweet Cakes Bakery in Gresham, OR know all about being forced to shutter their doors because of a questionable remark to a customer.
