Maybe strongest on this planet.

Shouldn't the bar be bending with that much iron.
Reps are too smooth and linear with no sticking point.
But other than that.
-
If thats not fake then hes by far the stongest presser ever lived. but it looks fake to me
-
weights are fake
-
I have known him since 1991.
He had 95kg(Sorry for kg..maybe 210lbs?) already with 165cm(Sorry again maybe..5,1?).
And he could do it with 3 plates.
And last time i met his close friend, he told me that he was doing it with 4 plates...so.
-
weights are fake
It look like.
But I know his caracter and other friend. he dont do the thing like that. And many many witness here in Japan.
Plus ....nobody believe me maybe...He is natural and eat only three time with a lot of carbs and miserably few protein. And weight 135kg. No human at all.
-

you lost all credibility in that post..
-
Doesn't atall look natural (how the bar moves)
-
reps look too smooth...
also the bar should be bending
-
ahh kyomo son, he look berry good he must be not human!!!
-
Decent acting with the vinyl plates. ;D

Looks like he is not even struggling, with that much weight his effort should be more
Looks like a superman movie...clearly fake
-
The bar is bending slighty but not like it should...
-
The bar doesn't look right. It's too smooth of a motion almost like he's doing it on a smith machine. Odd.
-
the bar isn't bending, its at an angle. his right hand's touching the line and his left hand isn't. why wouldn't you just draw a straight line from the center of the left plates to the center of the right ones? proves it right there.
-
I've watched it over and over and just can't see any signs of foul play. Conclusion - He's a beast. BTW - brutal forearms.
-
It just doesn't look real the way he's lifting the weight. The bar doesn't change speed at all whether it's going up or down and like someone else pointed out, there's not even the tiniest hint of a sticking point at any point along the way, like you'd expect to see with that much weight. Not to mention that the bar should be bending at least a LITTLE with that much weight. The weights on the ends of the bar would be bobbing up & down slightly, etc.
For anyone who's seen someone really lift anywhere close to that much, it just doesn't add up.

Agree Dan, But there are mirrors all around and no hint of anyone or anything assisting.... but I still agree that its videoshopped somehow..
-
anyone else notice in the screenshot given that the plate furthest inside looks very different from all the rest?

Fake.
-
I gree with you guys totaly.......But the truth is truth. Almost scare....
Maybe bigger and stronger than ronnie.
Eat only three times and natural.
But,those three times,,,eats like a horse.
-
And this other pic of the dude... it's DEFINITELY not photoshopped, no sir. He's totally natural and eats 3x per day.

Then what is his story?? Why not compete in the strongman or powerlifting tournaments? Why is he just coming into light? Why is there no info on him in the web? Why do we see only back shots? Is he secret Asian police that could save South Korea from the north?
MOVE THIS THREAD TO PAGE 2..... THANK YOU

Okay so that proves it is not on a machine.
The bar is bending slighty but not like it should...
His hands are wide supporting the bar. When you put 500 on a bench the bar doesn't bend much either, cause trhe supports are supporting bar near the weight. If you place a bar with that much weight on it with supports closer to the center of the bar the bar will bend. It is very obvious the people who think this is fake have NOT seen many people lift 400+ pounds in the gym in any lift. The deadlift a bar will bend cause the hands are closer together.
anyone else notice in the screenshot given that the plate furthest inside looks very different from all the rest?
That means nothing. It could be from another manufaturer, it could be newer or older. Why do you constantly post posts that prove you don't train or possibly never been in a gym.

Dan-O I am surprised at you. If you lift heavy weight very smoothly and at a constant speed the weights will not move clang or shake. It is the stop at the top and bottom that cause the weight to shake and clang. Unsteady lowering and pressing bar will do it to. I could easily bench 405 for reps up to a point where the weight make absolutely no noise, same speed very smooth. He doesn't go down all the way or up all the way. They are clean steady reps. I admit this weight is unreal and it appears the guy is strong as hell He has enormouse forearms and from the one pic his back and shoulders look to me he could possibly do this. He does do it kind of easy but who knows. But most of the things guys say on here of why theythink it is fake have absolutely not one bearing.
Youguys need to go join a gym. Have someone put 500 on the bench and look at it and see if the bars bends. If it does then the bar sucks and they need to buy a new one. And a Texas bar would not bend with jst 500 on it especially with it being supported where he is supporting it. And wheteher he is natural or not is defitiely questinable. But eatingn 3 times a day maybe right considering these guys in Japan like this eat 5,000 calories a meal easy
-
405 is heavy as all hell. Incredibly heavy. The gym stops when anyone benches or presses that much, usually. 490? Holy crap. If the guy is really that strong, this shouldn't be the only vid clip of him. We should see more.
-
He makes 240s 405 pound squat for 20 reps seem that much less impressive.

I agree with everything you say. The thing that makes me suspect is the way he's banging out reps with that kind of weight just looks too easy.

I understand physics well, Thanks but it is off in some way... I am not disputing it entirely and I've seen many 500lbs + get risen a few time to know what I'm looking @....

Well I certainly could be wrong, I'm definitely not an expert. It did cross my mind what you said, that maybe the weights wouldn't bob up & down with the wide grip he's got.
With the seeming ease that he puts that weight up so smoothly for reps, it looks like he'd be good for another 50-100 lbs. for a max single. Which would basically mean he'd be military pressing roughly the current world record weight for superheavyweight olympic lifters in the clean & jerk. Do you really think that's feasible??
-
I think he did the weight legit, but after seeing that back pic of him, there's no way I would ever believe he's natural. I'm calling BS on the natural claim.
-
natural or not that's fucking nasty!
it still takes more than what most of us got to get to that kinda weight! juiced or otherwise! respect the man!
-
3x a day and natural....
Yeah, right. If this guy was real, there would be more pictures online of him and he'd be doing some sort of strength events. If he was half that size he'd be the best lifter in Asia, so why not compete.
-

Agreed, unless he has the mindset of a Vic Richards.. ???
How about ol'e Bolo Yung.... Could he be a kin to this beast....
-
He's doing half reps. That is certainly easier that doing full reps. Regardless of that it looks fake to me. The reps are to easy for that enormous weight. If he could really handle that weight he would be able to pick up the stones and press the log over head in strong man comps blowing away the competition.
-

I agree 100%. Even juiced to the gills, that's a shitload of weight. I just hate when people claim to be natural when they're not. Makes them look like an insecure tool.
-
The guy's a beast. His forearms look as large as his head in that video.
Something not right about that weight . . . as someone else pointed out Hosseini Rezazadeh would be hard pressed to clean and jerk what this guys is effortlessly pressing.
But, onlyme is right about the fact that just b/c it looks easy doesn't mean it's fake. I've trained with some beasts, and the thing I've noticed is that they never seem to strain--no matter if it's 225 or 495. No legs skittering around on the floor, no torso twisting, just clean up and down movements. Almost Zen.
We all know he's not natural. Unless he's a shaved yeti.
-
I don't see anything unbelievable about this video. There is no "sticking point" because he's doing partial reps. He might could do around 400 for full reps - extremely strong but not unheard of.
It is his other lifts that I have trouble believing (800 deadlift for 10 reps, etc).
-
is there anyone else who can claim that kind of weight? strongthanall, the guy with the unofficial incline bench record, has done 530 incline for one and 440 for a single shoulder press. a guy doing 490 for easy reps behind his head would be able to raw press over most guys' shirted maxes.
the first rep looked just as easy as the 5th, so either he had a hell of a lot more in him since we didn't see him stop or he's so good with time under tension he had that much weight perfectly controlled. either way it means he'd be definitely capable of pushing more, and more still if he did it to the front. so that might be, what, a 600 pound shoulder press to the front for a single? ::)
-

That kind of partial is better than most "full" reps I've seen in all the gyms I've ever been to.

You've put your foot in your mouth. Asians (far east asians) dominate weightlifting. The Chinese have a systematic program of weight training designed to produce champions.
In the 2004 Olympics far east asian men caputured 5 medals (2G, 3S medals). Asians (discounting far east) captured 5 medals (3G, 1S, 1B medals). So 10 medals went to Asia from the 24 possible (8 weight classes and 3 medals per class).
In the womens division asian women (all asians not just far east) took home 12 medals (6G, 4S, 2B) of the 21 total medals. Needless to say the last time the US men won a medal in weightlifting was in the boycotted 1984 games where the Russians and Warsaw Pact countries stayed away. (still couldnt get a gold which was taken by Dean Lukin of Australia). Then Taranenko (or was it Kurlovitch) said that Lukin lifted for gold what he does for a light training day.

A statement made in another site...
When he was a high school student, he started the weight training for the
reinforcement of the judo.
The weight of the benchpress that he had enumerated for the first time was 180
kg ....
In addition, his grip was an extraordinary level.
He has destroyed the hand dynamometer that can measure 100kg...
When a deadlift is done by 370kg, he doesn't use the strap at all...
It is used because it contradicts his training belief.
He is managing the training gym in the recesses of a mountain of Hyogo
Prefecture in Japan now. Of course, a general member doesn't gather because it is in the heart of the mountains, and it doesn't advertise his gym at all. It is only a real hard-core trainees that gather in his gym.
Mr.OGAWA is called a "GOD" among hard-core trainees in Japan.

They aren't full reps, which makes a huge difference in how much weight you can use. It is impossible to compare lifts performed with a different range of motion.
Anyone with a high 500's bench could probably press around 400 behind the neck if they trained for it. Even Ed Coan supposedly did a 400 BNP.

I'm actually making a pilgrimage to Hyogo this summer. I hope that some of his greatness wil descend on me.

So does anyone know why info about this guy is suddenly blitzing the boards? Japanese April Fools' joke finally makes it to the US?
-
Obviously even with partials weight that heavy would have momentum that isn't seen in that video. Yet he still manages to do them so smoothly that it looks part of a Smith machine.
Funny how many don't realize the weights are fake.

even ed coan? coan's a fucking legend, top 5 powerlifters of all time. if he's doing -a- 400 pound bnp that's still light years behind this dude repping out 495 like it's nothing. sta, a dude that trains for various singles, can do 450 partial shoulder press off of support pins to the front, and he's got a 530 full range incline bench. so no, a 495 bnp for easy reps isn't common by any means.
and of course, figures he trains by himself in the mountains. probably doesn't compete because he doesn't believe in it. i wonder if he and isaac nesser know each other? ::)

Serge Redding (Vasily Alexeev's brides maid) reputedly did 2 full reps @ 180 kg in behind the neck seated press (full ROM). Since then records have progressed. The clean and jerk WR was pegged around 525lbs (when Alexeev retired it had climbed to over 550lbs but I am talking about the time when Redding was competing). Currently the WR stands at 580lbs (approx after converting from kg). Roughly 10% increase. Assuming a BNT press was trained the WR today might be around 220kg = 490lbs (20 kg for the fact that if it was trained as a main lift rather than an accessory and another 20 to account for the progress in 25 years. 220kg= 485 lbs (approx). In other words this guy is pressing a weight that is olympic gold-worthy.
Except that no one knows how real the weights are, he is untested, his ROM is not complete.
-
You can come out of the closet now.
Shouldn't I let your mom get dressed first
-
Currently the WR stands at 578lbs (approx after converting from kg).
Try again. Taranenko had done over 585 lbs.
-
Once again, they aren't full reps. Lots of people can do partial reps with extremely heavy weight. He's very strong, but there is no way he can do full reps with that weight. Look at how high the pins are set.

Imbecile those are full reps! You don't actually go all the way down on behind the neck presses. Just goes to show that you never lifted anything heavy in your life you ab shooter!

actually, it's been determined in another thread that Brian is a glute-shooter.

lol that explains it ;D
-
I'd like to see the entire seated-behind-the-neck-press workout. I'm guessing the entire rep & set scheme would be:
1 x 12 x 135 lbs
1 x 8 x 225 lbs
1 x 8 x 315 lbs
1 x 6 x 365 lbs
1 x 6 x 405 lbs
3 x 5 x 484 lbs :o
2 x 15 x 225 lbs
I'd pay $20 for that DVD alone.

Try again. Taranenko had done over 585 lbs.
Correct, the biggest official clean and jerk is Leonid Taranenko's 266 kg (I hate converting into pounds because everyone uses a slightly different conversion factor, I use the usual 2.2*value_in_kg=value_in_lbs) roughly 585lbs. However it isnt a official world record. When the IWF reclassified the weight classes after the embarrasing 1988 Games where everyone and his mother tested positive, the old "drug-tainted" world records lapsed out. A world standard was applied which is what happens when a new weight class is created or reclassified and anyone breaking the standard is given the highest honors. Currently Rezazadeh is 0wns the record with 263.5 kg in the C&J, about 580 lbs. He is easily stronger than Taranenko. The current testing is incredibly rigorous (all medalists tested after each meet, random unscheduled testing throughout the year). In addition there is the new retroactive testing procedures. Some of the urine is stored for future more advanced tests to catch any designer drugs that might previously have escaped undetected. Syzmon Kolecki was caught in this manner. I believe all the IWF athletes are clean (for practical purposes). While they might not have been lifetime naturals they do not have the liberty of juicing with impunity.

No matter what that is allot of weight. As to having fake weights. I think the use of fake weights was biiger back in the 70's and 80's when really all there was was photos. Easier to fake. I know they are still used today but for a guy of this size and he is a huge huge dude to use fake weights and post it on the internet would just take away from whatever aura he may have as being a strong and huge guy. That would put him in a position with fellow gym members friends and such that he is a fake bigtime. I think this guy s just strong as hell. I also think my opinion is allot different from others and I am so open to believing this kind of lift because I do see so many strong guys lift all the time. I mean if you come here and watch people at Gold's either here or in Honolulu you are going to see guys lift incredible weight all day long. Seeing a guy over 400 at most gyms would stop everyone. Here it is nothing. Even guys doing 500 doesn't cause much more than a quick glance. We got guys here under 200 benching 500 all the time. A guy weighing under 150 benches over 400 here. I admit this guy does this very easy and it looks unreal but I have to keep an open mind and think it's real. I do know one thing the guy has the back and shoulders to it.
And I do not consider those full reps. His extension is fine but when I do BNP I go all the down and in fact rest the bar on my shoulders for a full second and more then press. Not everyone does it this way. And in fact 90% of the guys I train with and have seen only go down just below the head. I just like to get a full stretch and people seem to enjoy watching me press from a dead stop 315 for reps.
-
And everytime a lift like thiscomes up it reminds me of Joe Onasai on live TV on the news here doing 500 BNP for reps, no spotter on a regular BNP bench. I wish I could get a video of it. You guys would freak out. At 6'5 460 pounds he made it look like candy
-
::)
http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/DeltoidAnterior/BBBehindNeckPress.html
That type of range is fine if you're lifting for reps, but no one in their right mind goes that deep with heavy weight. You would completely destroy your shoulders.
-

Watch out Onlyme gonna post a picture of the barbarian brothers! ::)
-
I think thew range of motion is all relative. What I might think is lighter weight and do full reps others may think is heavy weight and can't do full reps. I personally won't do a heavyweight even once unless I know I can go down all the way. I just won't even try it. I used tohave guys work in with me and try to do what I am doing but only go up and down half way. I would get so pissed off at these guys. Then they would go around telling people they lift with me.
I don't have that pic.
-
....ok well here it is ;D
-
I wish that pic were a little lower so we could see David's calves. ;D
-
....ok well here it is ;D
LOL.
Seriously though, I'm not talking about half or quarter reps. I go down to the bottom of my ears with the bar, any further and I am out of the natural range of motion and just asking for something to rip. If you choose to go deeper, that's cool. I'm just not going to risk a shoulder injury for a couple more inches.
-
if that video is legit, so thats a f*cking brutal BNP with extremely monster weights!!!!!
the guy is a BEAST!
i can only dream to have that kind of strenght one day...
-
you lost all credibility in that post..
Exxactly..
It cant be real. Tha tlooked entirely TOO EASY. SO how much can he really press, if he was getting those so easily, and no spotter?
Definately foney baloney.
But cool 8)

But cool 8)
I can't believe the thread is this long when it is obviously fake ;D
-
I think thew range of motion is all relative.
Mmmmmmm.....As always,Onlyme is showing his long long experience in this sports. Me my self,I have been in this sports 15 years and i have seen many incredible natural monster who dont care bodybuilding nor powerlifting and they eat junk food everyday and thats all.. But Ogawa has been always standing out in my mind.
-
By the way, I want somebody(Ex:Ronnie,Mgnus...etc) challenge him in his Gym.Because, He dont like to travel by now.
-
its not impossible. huge guy huge weight. lots of drugs. perhaps his shoulders and tris his strong points. we will never know. just watch in awe. if its fake he made an ass outta himself. hope it is real
-
Kyomu I would love to see this guy. He is enormous no matter what. And you are right. There are many of us who could care less about BB or powerlifting as competitors. But, that defintiely doesn't make us or others weak just because we don't compete. I was just never interested in competing in BB or powerlifting. As much as Joe G. tried to egg me on and I ate like Tony Pearson and Ken Waller told me to I never wanted to compete. I just didn't have the discipline. Of anything I admore about BB is the discipline. The working out I could handle and keep up with the best of them, but that is where it ended.
Powerlifting was something I liked and admired. I was the emcee for the largest powerlifting shows in the world the Budweiser World Record Breakers. I just didn't thnk it was fair to wear the suits and thought if I wanted to lift the most then I would have to wear one and I wouldn't. And I didn;t want to take the drugs needed to win at both.
But, me and along with many others just lift to lift to be as strong as we can be. So most if not all of us might not have heard of this guy but in reality he is absolutely huge and physically has the stature to lift these weights. Just because you have never seen it befre doesn't mean it doesn't happen. You guys think Ronnie Coleman is so strong. I know half a dozen sub 200 lb guys that would armwrstle him and beat him in less than 2 seconds EASY. And I know one guy who could armwrestle Ronnie, Kovacs, Charles, Jackson, and 3 other heavyweight BB's in one day and spend less than 60 seconds total time pinning everyone of them. In fact less than 20 seconds total time
-

I guarentee,if you see him you will faint even if he is not trainning at that time.Because, He has more than 130kg and 60cm(maybe24inchs?)arms.Not shredded but scarely big.Plus he is a short guy like Shawn.
-

Exactly, if this was fake it is a very good production and not easy. It is NOT clearly a fake which makes it very good or real. If it is fake, it was costly and time consuming and like Goudy says it makes an ass out of himself. He obviously has the size to do it and why ruin whatever reputation he has by posting a fake video. What does it do for him. With all the experts on here someone should be able to download it and get on Director or whatever other programing is out there and go frame by frame and show the discrepancies. Then of course we have to validate those findings. Till it is absolutely proven fake I am going to say it is real and the guy is a monster.
-
I'll tell you when I get my date for my show next year I may bring him in to do some exposition lifts with some local lifters.
-

OK. I try to contact him again. Because,we dont get in touch each other more than five years.Plus,he was in prison little bit(Dont worry, he is a very gentle and polite guy. I guarentee. But,very serious like Samurai.)
Then I will tell you where his gym is and tell him about you. How about it?

Okay, did he kill someone

I have done 4 reps of 610lbs BNP with full range and good form. I also have a 930lbs shirtless bench and I have held the captains of crush #4 for 2 minutes and 40 seconds. I train in a gym hidden deep in the Norwegian forrests. I don't do any drugs, but just eat like the vikings. 2 big meals a day with lots of beer. My training regimen is based on the old viking formulas. I do not accept any students or any kinds of visitors in the gym, other then two trusted full blooded vikings. I have no interest to compete and earn big money, because I don't need money to run my gym or eat. It takes care of itself. I might make a video as proof, but I will make it very blur so nobody can recognize me.
PS! Send $2,400.00 and I can send you my secret viking formula.

Wow! you are strong too OneManGangBang

Wow! you are strong too OneManGangBang
I'm extremely strong, but I don't like to brag about it, but I had to come out of my monster-closet and admit to unatural strength obtained in a natural way because I felt a zen like connection with the japanese monster.

Sounds a bit like that Isaac 'Dr Size' Nesser who holds the Guiness world record for worlds most 'muscular' chest. ;D
Any news on that clown BTW?

The bar should bent, period.
There's only on bar that doesn't bent, and that's cast-iron, it snaps and it cant take a shitload of weight. Up until 220 is about the most I have seen as a max recomendation.
Everyone who has ever seen 300 up pressing/lifting knows that the bar bents. For those who don't know, steel can bent to a certain degree and then snaps.
Another strange detail;
the safetybars on the rack? Absolutely unbelievable that these pins can hold such a weight.

Seriously dude have your teacher type this for you next time

For you guys who persist about the bar bending. I know you have never seen heavyweight lifted in person. You prove it with your posts. So to prove how wrong you are here is some pics with more weight on the bar than this guy has on it. In fact the squat bar has more than twice the amount 1000 pounds and it is barely bent. Halbert is bench close to 700 not bent at all. Like I said it depends on hand placement if the bar is going to bend or where the support is like in the squat it is in the middle so the bar will bend more. SO the bar not bending is a dead issue and you have been proven wrong. Why persist on argueing about something you have no idea anything about.
-
this guy is a freak. and it looks like a legit lift to me.
just because he doesnt show off like you yanks doesnt mean he isnt for real. remember he is asian and asians are very humbile people that dont like to brag about anything from medicine to weight lifting.
-
Nonsense! Asians are humans too. They like to show off as much as anyone else. The only reason he might not want to show off is because he most likely can't lift 5x220kg so easily.
-
Okay so that proves it is not on a machine.
But eatingn 3 times a day maybe right considering these guys in Japan like this eat 5,000 calories a meal easy
good man onlyme, great post. it seems like you can't claim to bench 225 or have 16" arms on getbig these days without someone claiming fake weights or that you're juicing or using synthol/implants.

Armwrestling is for wimps. Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Submission are the styles that real men do.

id guess that bar is different than your standard gym olympic ..... only time i have 500+ lbs on the bar is when im shrugging and i can assure you it bends
-
this guy is training in the mountains using whatever equipment he has up there, not at a sanctioned powerlifting meet with special bars. squat bars are a terrible example anyway because those are bigger, 55 pounds, and they are made to hold over 1500 pounds so clearly they won't bend much. we're talking some dude in a gym.
he's full of shit, onlyme. accept it. he's the new isaac nesser.

I can't f*ucking believe this! Are you guy's blind or just plain stupid? There is no way in hell that is real footage from real lift, and if you guy's have any braincells left, you see my point.
1. Bar doesn't bent at all? Maybe that f*ucker have a super strong titanium barbell, maybe not...
2. Truth is that you can't lift such weight without any effort what so ever. Heavy lift look always like heavy lift.
3. There is no acceleration what so ever, not any change of tempo during the lift. F*uck the laws of physics, they doesn't exist in gym anyway.
4. Why there is so many of these morons, who are posting all this fake shit in this forum? How f*ucking sick you have to be to do something so f*ucking stupid? Kyomu, you f*ucking child, get a life.

"f*cking a" right! you tell those f*kers what the fucking deal is. f**k this shit, I'm f*king outta here.
-
After further review and several full screen replays of the video... the footage is bogus. Sorry. I made a few comments earlier and now when I watch the viedo, I see a few more problems.
#1 The bar is stopped the same distance from the pins each rep (1/2 -3/4") Why? because 500 lbs hitting the pins makes a very different noise than 185 lbs hitting the pins.
#2 Because of the way he is sitting, the weight would be pushing him down and forward in that seat. His entire body is absolutely stable, that would not happen even if he weight 350 lbs and his feet were braced.
Huge dude... Nice video... but it ain't real.

Well, they saying: "If it is to good to be true..." rings clear here.
Why is it that there is only a back pic of him, and the video doesn't show him finishing the exercise and getting up. No face shots. And why are there no clips of other Hurculean feats? With a 490 pound BNP, he would lifting huge weights and more clips would be available.
-
Like onlyme said, the bending of a bar depends on hand placement. You won't see much bending at all with a sufficiently wide grip. It's just basic physics.
-

you can hear the bar hitting the pins/rack . . . it makes very little noise, like he's just touching with an unweighted bar.

His feet seem braced, for what it's worth. i also feel like I can see changes in the bar speed, but that's just me.
I would like to see more footage before I make up my mind. right now, all I know is that he's a huge dude . . .

Those kids who dont believe this kind of exagerate thing have still very poor experience. They will know it in future.
Leave them alone. They are still young.Or maybe they will never see.Because, the mayority of the people are so small that they limit their spirits. And they will be that mayority. Few will be elite.
They are scare to death to see the liberty of humanbeing to identify their ego of present. And they never see their unlimited development in their future.

You've put your foot in your mouth. Asians (far east asians) dominate weightlifting. The Chinese have a systematic program of weight training designed to produce champions.
So true. Here's a video of a 14 year old chinese kid who weighs 110lbs. He is clean and jerking 240lbs and according to the narrator can squat 375lbs. Gonna be a freak when he gets older.

my man, i may not be all alzheimered up remembering what i think i used to do with the pros back in the 1970s, but i am no stranger to holding heavy weights or watching people hold heavy weights. 495 on bnp? no, i'll admit that's one i haven't seen, nor have i seen it yet.
but, since you're trying to get everything together, i'll tell you what. you get any kind of actual hard evidence that this guy isn't full of shit, and i will apologize for all the shit i've said in this thread. deal?

I think it is stupid to do BNP. If you do BNP, you are destined for a shoulder injury.
I think dumbbell presses are far superior.

Nonsense. Do you really think pressing heavy dumbbells overhead is safer than using a bar?
-
Nonsense. Do you really think pressing heavy dumbbells overhead is safer than using a bar?
Yes, behind the neck with a barbell feels so unnatural.
Dumbbells allow for a more natural movement. I haven't done BNP in years.

kyomu, you moron, why you continue this stupidity. Just admit that video is fake, and you may leave in peace. I am 47 years old, I know all great lifters in this country, and I have been counting reps when real guy do real reps with 450 lbs. It doesn't look like that fake video, it look like there is some gravity to beat and some laws of physic to defeat. There is no man in this earth who make reps with that kind of weight with no effort at all, and more than that, there not even going to be any asian guy who can do that... I know you are full of shit, you lying little guy, I know who you are and where you live, so pretty please; shut the f*ck up. And by the way, why are you using that pirated windows, don't you have money to buy one? And why do you have that child porn in you hard disk? Are you some kind of pervert?

Well I can say the same thing. Get me hard evidence it isn't a fake. The way I am I like to believe just about anyone. And I do this until I see I am wrong. I admit these things. He is doing the weight way to easy. But I can't come on here and bash this guy because it looks to easy. WHo knows, this guy just might be that strong. You or I or anyone else doesn't know for sure. Second, the constant speed is a little suspect just because of the weight. Now, I promise you I have done 315 BNP exactly like this except I go down farther, but I could easily do 315 like this. So, since I was not taking roids like this guy probably does or even lift that seriously, I can imagine someone could do allot heavier than me and make it look easy. Till I saw Kazmaier DB curls the 100's like they were empty bars I didn't think anyone could do them that easy.
I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. In my sport you had too. Cause a skinny guy could easily beat a big muscular guy. You definitely couldn't judge a book by its cover. As unrealistic as this guy seems to make that lift look, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt until proven 100% wrong. Plus after seeing his picture from behind the guy defintiely has the size and thickness to do that weight.
-
And by the way, why are you using that pirated windows, don't you have money to buy one? And why do you have that child porn in you hard disk? Are you some kind of pervert?
How do you know that?

So, since I was not taking roids like this guy probably does or even lift that seriously, I can imagine someone could do allot heavier than me and make it look easy. Till I saw Kazmaier DB curls the 100's like they were empty bars I didn't think anyone could do them that easy.
I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. In my sport you had too. Cause a skinny guy could easily beat a big muscular guy. You definitely couldn't judge a book by its cover. As unrealistic as this guy seems to make that lift look, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt until proven 100% wrong. Plus after seeing his picture from behind the guy defintiely has the size and thickness to do that weight.
fair enough, man. guess i've been bullshitted way too many times to give the benefit of the doubt. i don't lie that i have a very grim view of the internet and the videos that get passed around. i have no reason to dislike the guy or to want him to be lying, no matter what he's outlifting me by a mile, i just find it hard to believe some unknown is pulling off a lift that would impress top-levels.
as for the 315 thing, that doesn't mean a whole whole lot. there are naturals deadlifting in the high 600s and low 700s, but the record is still 971. and that's on the deadlift. thus far i haven't heard of anyone doing 5 plates that easily on shoulder presses aside from the kovacs bullshit story, so hearing that this dude is repping it out behind the neck easily baffles me.
no one's saying he's weak, but i can't help but wonder if that middle-most plate is wood. 405 bnp is no joke, it's just that extra plate that pushes it a bit too far to me.

It's obviously fake. The guy looks like he could have done it in his sleep ::)
-
Okay I am still getting everything together. I'd like to see more pics and video too. Does he have anymore. Can you ask him if he knows David Halton in Japan.
OK.
By the way.Who is he??
-
kyomu, you moron, why you continue this stupidity. I know you are full of shit, you lying little f**cker, I know who you are and where you live, so pretty please; shut the f*ck up. And by the way, why are you using that pirated windows, don't you have money to buy one? And why do you have that child porn in you hard disk? Are you some kind of pervert?
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhh hhhhhhhhhh!!I am so scared to see the truth.Because,It means all what I have believed in 40yrs collapse with the sound!!UUUUUUUUUUUUhhhhh I am going to die."
Dont worry my friend. If you open your eye like onlyme, you will be more free in your life.
No matter what you say, the truth is truth.

it does work . . . dude's ROM is of the Dorian/Ronnie school . . . he's almost upright and pulling to his waist.
-
should be more bar bend b/c of his grip, but there's not . . . but then again, he appears to be wider than Markus Ruhl or Jay Cutler.
-
I don't know guys, it would be really tough to manipulate all those fake weights and still be as massive as this guy is. Face it, there are probably people on this Earth who are bigger than Ronnie or Dorian ever dreamed of being. Hell, they could be locked away in prison and competing in underground fighting for the wardens. ;D. This guy does appear to be massive. If it were 405 and not 495, I bet there would not be this controversy. Ted Arcidi did 410 behind the head presses with ease. Maybe this guy is a true freak. Who cares if he is from Japan; have you ever seen a 600 pound sumo. They may be fat, but underneath is a lot of power and strength. I bet a trained sumo would destroy most normal sized guys if he hit him at full speed. We have guys benching over 900 pounds, maybe a 500 pound shoulder press is not that much of a stretch.

Obviously even with partials weight that heavy would have momentum that isn't seen in that video. Yet he still manages to do them so smoothly that it looks part of a Smith machine.
Funny how many don't realize the weights are fake.
the first couple of times I saw the video, I really thought he was doing it in a smith machine, so it didnt seem suspicious to me that the reps were that smooth. I call bullshit as well.

I think the guy has a great physique, but I really don't want that kind of size. The lift looks fake to me, plain and simple. In case you can't tell, I respond to every post a great number of times ;D

Could you explain please? Many people have commented that the lift looks fake. I'm not seeing your point.

could be true, because a freind of mine in Calgary,ab.named grant mcreynolds does standing pbn with 405lbs,he is also on those world stronman contests.I have seen him do at least 6 to 7 reps many of times,he also does shrugs with 8 plates a side(but get this,he does it with no straps)check him out or ask around he works out out at "the gym" and "pro bodies".

He does World's Strongest Man contests and he reps 4 plates. This guy casually does 5 plates. ::)

kyomu - I was just reading back through this thread and realised I'd missed some of the info about this monster. So he is around 5'1' and 300 pounds. And then there is that pic of him from the back.
If those details are correct (I have no reason to doubt you out of hand) then I really hope you can get ahold of this guy, or some more pics or some video that was a little less grainy.
Judging by the vid of him bnp 490 - if he is that short that goes some way to explaining why his torso is so motionless while he reps the weight. And given the size of his forearms as well...
The closest I have personally seen to this guy is a former world class powerlifter who became a bodybuilder who used to train at a gym I belonged to which he now owns.
He was just under 225 pounds at about 5'1'ish. Had a back like a tortoise and massive all over plus a tiny waist. I'm pretty sure he had a best bench of around 570 (when he was powerlifting - I'd have to check on that) but I personally watched him repping 405 for 12 (no spotter) and pausing on his chest for the last few reps of the set. Given that your boy is 60 odd pounds plus at about the same height I find it conceivable that he could indeed be doing the weights shown in the vids.
-
1.65 m is roughly 5'5"
-
well we don't know exactly what height he but somewhere around 5'1 to 5'5 kyomu thinks

That's why Nesser's lifts are also believable.

Last night I talk to him and told me that his height is 169cm and weight is 135kg.
His forearms are 51cm and arms are 60cm(No pump).
When he lift weight always stable incredibly,no matter what weight he lift.
Thats why people call him "God" in his Gym and others who know him.
I thank God that the creature like my friend exist and show me the world without limits.

I hope that Onlyme or Wayne take him to the lime light.
I want people to know about this truth and feel the way I feel.
Even natural, no suplement...human growth reach like this.
I am sure that he will accept dorping test gradly after the event of Onlyme or Wayne. ;)
So now,Kids...Attack me!
-
it looks like
1. juiced to the gills
2. that aint 490 or whatever it is suppossed to be.
-
Lucious, I was only making the point that the vid of him doing half ass bent over rows looked legit. If the weight's were fake, I think he would have a more difficult time faking the difficulty walking backward. I don't know about the 490 BNP. He may be incredibly leveraged or it is trick photography. I guess the only way to find out is to go to Japan and watch the guy train. I am sure any American promoter would gladly fly over this freak of nature if he was willing to showboat at a big BB show.
-

No shit Sherlock, thanks for that brilliant post. I was just curious how you could know that about a guy who posted on a forum where you are not a moderator.
-
And everytime a lift like thiscomes up it reminds me of Joe Onasai on live TV on the news here doing 500 BNP for reps, no spotter on a regular BNP bench. I wish I could get a video of it. You guys would freak out. At 6'5 460 pounds he made it look like candy
Hey Keith during your prime days what were the most calories you were taking in per day?

Hey Keith during your prime days what were the most calories you were taking in per day?
I have no idea. I didn't count calories when I got big. I started counting later on and I would say from what my eating habits were I would say I ate about 7,000 a day at the most. My metabolism was alwasy very good up until my accident. I could eat and eat and never get over 320. I hung around 300 to 315 from 89' to about 98' I was 290+ when I got bit. I was going down to 275 to compete. Now my goal is to weigh 400 by the Olympia. Yes I have no problem gaining weight now. So I am taking in about 2500 to 3000 calories now a day. Keeping my carbs around 100 g a day. Protein in around 300 g. Mostly from Chicken, Fish and an Isopure after I train. If I can remember I am going to try to call Golds in Honolulu to talk to Joe. He must have a copy of the video. If I can get it I will post it. It was on the news here.

will you be going up to 400 or coming down to 400?
-
Coming down. When my thyroid shutdown I was gaining as much as 40 lbs a month for awhile. No training and just eating. I am back training for thepast few months pretty consistant. Just really need tobe more consistant in my cardio. Just really boring to me. Plus I need to move back to Oahu. It is so boring in Kona. Nice and everything but just not allot of people.

Hey.
Why dont visit his site(BBs)? There are more photos and videos.
Just narrow mind.Dont see anything....
Whats up!? I think this board is very well-known isnt it!?
Why any promotors dont leave message here or personal??(OK.solo Onlyme...)
If you invite him, you can do great promotion of your show.
I am sick and tired of kids who dont know anything.
So you guys promotors are same as these young kids??
Tell the truth that me myself...I can do almost three plates each side(BNP) and natural and he can do it more than 4 plates.Whats wrong with that??
I have only 100kilos(maybe 210lbs?) and he got 135kilos.
Open your eyes kids....

if you want promoters to be interested, you're going to have to give them a lot more than blurry videos. And if he wants an American audience, he will need an English website. Might I suggest 240's services?
HTH.

It definitely looks like he is moving weight with the rows. He uses leverage and whatnot. I still don't know how many of the plates are real though. I'm just skeptical of these beasts who want to be known, but act like they don't at the same time.

It could be real. You guys know they have those 1000lb comp bars that don't really bend until they hit 1000lb's, they have one at the Golds I go to.

And I am busy and dont have knowledge about computer.
All I can do is translation.MMMMmmmmm.
I try to convince him something.

FWIW, Bent-over-rows with 590 lbs has NOTHING in common with Seated B-N-P's with 490 lbs, even if the bent-over-rows were clean full reps.
The video is bogus. Next ridiculous claim please.
