It that only a corporate policy or does the state also mandate it?
-
There is no science behind any of these Covid rules- it's just government trying to flex its power more and more.
Within two months of the first Covid outbreak I found a detailed study from a research hospital in Singapore analyzing how it spread. It isn't air transmission- not by a longshot. It's touch- as in touching any surface and then touching your mouth, eyes, nose, etc.
All of this is moot for a disease with a less than 0.03% mortality. The lockdown was and is political.

Their corporate policy. I went to the UFC gym down the street and wide open, no restrictions
-
I take it you don't live in Florida. ;D
My gym closed in March of last year but re-opened in June, with some restrictions.
You have to make reservations on the 24-Hour Fitness app, to a one-hour time slot in which to train.
Then they closed for 30 minutes to clean and spray down the place. Although, they usually need only 10-15 minutes to clean.
If they reopened before the next group was scheduled to arrive, you could go back inside until they showed up. If not enough of the next scheduled group arrived, you could stay after that.
That lasted for about two months. With two other Orange/Osceola County clubs closing for good, the remaining 24-Hour Fitness gyms have moved staff; so they don't have to close the gym to spray down the place anymore. They're still not quote "24-Hour" yet. The club closes at 9 pm.
However, as of yesterday, the one where I train extended its hours until 11 pm, reopening the next day at 5 am.
And it's not quite 24-hours still; they close at 9 pm and reopen at 5 am.
-
This is why I refuse to go back. Wearing a face diaper in the gym is ridiculous.
-
Thats also insane. I bought my own stuff. Not going back to a gym having to comply with this stupidity. Wearing a face condom in the gym makes even less sense than planet fatness serving pizza and bagels to its members.

it's funny seeing roided monkeys wearing masks. They act all tough and rough when everything is fine but turn to pu55ies when times get hard because of a fake pandemic. Where are all the MMA fighters, boxers, bodybuilders, strongmen now? All heads down covered with a plastic diaper

A lot of the roid monkeys dont train hard and dont do jack fng S to begin with. Oh so damn - hard - sit on a machine and do a few sets of whatever w minutes rest in between. Oh so brutal!!!
F that noise - bought a bunch of stuff, made a bunch of stuff out of pipes and metal, and train outside now. Rain, snow, sleet, cold, dark, whatever. Not wearing a mask like a little obama in the gym. No way no how. F that.
-
NH gyms didn't close for very long but the rules make no sense medically speaking.
The main thing is having a face diaper on (of any kind) walking in the lobby.🤷🏼🤔

You're talking to a guy who used water jugs, broom handles, pool broom handles, and crates of muscle magazines (from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s) as weights for three months. My neighbor did have a legitimate weight set he let me use from time to time.
So, needless to say, I was happy last June after the reopening. The app thing was also to keep people from using the fingerprint scanner to check into the club. Plus, most of the time, I only had to wait outside for 5-10 minutes, while they sprayed down the gym, after my hour was up. And that was on upper-body days. Leg days took just under an hour anyway (unless someone was hogging the rack or leg press).
In August, the reservation times went up to 90 minutes; so, it all worked out well. September is when they stopped the reservation things. And, they just turned the water fountains back on last week. The only part of the gym still down is the kids' club. But, I think my son is too old to use it now anyway (he just turned 11 a few days ago).
I still don't see why gyms in other states are just now reopening their doors, while 24-Hour Fitness (at least in Orange County, FL) has been running for over 9 months.

The idea is that some studies showed that exercising with a mask might be harmful so some think a compromise of wearing the mask while moving around the gym to avoid spreading covid but removing it while lifting was reasonable.
I think it's excessive as like Joe said the science is not very strong. Now checking the temperature of the gym goers as they arrive might be reasonable. Like that fella in New Jersey does.

We got the mask police, too; but even they've let up somewhat. The particular place where I train is two stories. So, you wear your mask to check into the place. Once you get upstairs, you're fine for the most part. As long as you at least have it over your mouth, the folks tend to leave you alone.

post that study so we can see that you didn't just imagine this or misunderstand it
seems highly unlikely that there was any kind of detailed study done after on 8 weeks into this thing

I bought a Air Bike, a 45 kettlebell, some jerry cans, some sandbags, rigged up a pale from Home Depot w cement and water and sand that weighs a lot, some 30's, my old basement weights from the 80's, a medicine ball, a jump rope, some steel plates that are 20, 30, and 45 lbs, a TRX, 120l sandbags, a Rouge plyo box, and im good to go. All fits in the car and dont need anything else.
Wearing a face diaper in the gym is like going to a steakhouse but all you can order is a potato and glass of water. Completely useless and a waste of time.
-
You're right, for once, their policy is dumb. Either masks on 100% of the time or masks off 100% of the time. In nyc we have a 100% on mask mandate indoors and there's no issue since the gyms are at limited capacity the air quality isn't stifling. The only issue I encounter is when i do hiit on the airdyne

Of course the "science" isn't very strong. That's why some people will try to censor you, if you don't spout the current coronavirus narrative.
Heck, try posting what Fauci said just one year ago and see what happens to you.
Gyms are other places (in certain states, at least) have found and are finding common sense ways to reopen, without waiting for someone to come from on high from DC with the coronavirus commandments to tell them what to do.
-
If you guys want to hear some anecdotal stories here goes: my brother is a healthy 41 year old. 2 weeks ago he ended up in the hospital after being sick with covid for 10 days. They put a catheter on him and told him not to move to protect his lungs. He recovered and is fine now. Same story with a training partner's cousin of the same age.
My brother says covid is not fun. I haven't worn a mask once though they have only recommended it here in Sweden.
I've posted before about my 61 year old aunt who died at the beginning of this covid thing.

I almost picked up a home weight set that was posted on line, for free. But, someone snatched it up within minutes of it.
I'm just cheap. When I didn't use my neighbor's weight set at his place, I simply made barbells out of broom sticks and water jugs to train arms. And I used my pool broom handle and milk crates, filled with my old muscle magazines, to hit chest, back, and legs.
My issue isn't so much the mask, as it is selective enforcement. Besides, once I get upstairs, the staff (especially if they know you) usually leave you alone.
I see it as more like, you ordered a big powerhouse steak. And the waitress delivered it to you....chopped up into 50 pieces.

I'm not wearing a face diaper in the gym. I love training and working out and refuse to water it down and make it miserable because idiots say I have to. Nope. Not doing it.
There are like a a few things Left I need to get and I will probably never step foot in the gym again. I want to get a Century Bob XL stand, an outdoor Rogue/Sorinex squat rack to do pull ups and hang the trx off of, and a Rogue dog sled. After that I'm good to go for anything. And maybe some Thompson center mass bells.
-
Our gyms have been open since mid January and no reservation required since mid February. However, we do have to wear masks and the lockers in the locker room are still closed. The pool is open. But you need reservation to use it, which is a good thing because it guarantees you a lane to yourself for your swim. The spa (sauna, steam, jacuzzi) are still closed, which is also a good thing because most of the people futsying around in the pool while one is trying to swim laps were spa users.

Oh fuck you, you lazy kunt. Go get off your fat ass and search for research out of Singapore - the universities there are world class, unlike the diploma mill you went to in Florida, lol

Now that I probably won't compete anymore I've incorporated more conditioning into my routine. I still have sandbags, weight vests, ropes, med balls, etc left over from our facility plus the beach which means sand and conditioning in the ocean. about a year and half ago I started working with Seals, Rangers, Special ops guys but I still do like splitting it with my bodybuilding-type training

I agree with you. This doesn't make sense at all. Maybe you could make your workout one big super-set so there is never a moment you aren't working out (I'm kidding, of course).
Is the gym you go to in L.A. County? If it is and if the Protocol for Gyms and Fitness Establishments: Appendix L hasn't changed since March 15, 2021, the gym is in violation of the mask wearing policy where it states, "For both indoor and outdoor operations, all employees and patrons must wear an appropriate face mask at all times except when swimming." http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/coronavirus/docs/protocols/Reopening_FitnessEstablishments.pdf
Gyms in Oregon that actually closed (some did not even though they were in violation of governor Brown's mandate) have reopened. According to the webpage for the 24 Hour Fitness nearest me, masks are required (Members are required to wear masks and check local government requirements associated with mitigating the risk of COVID-19.) There is also a note that some amenities are closed....probably the pool.
I have not been to any gym for several months even though one of the independent gyms where I am a member stayed open. The last time I went there, all the staff were wearing masks but most of the folks working out were not. If they had one on, it was pulled down. Since I haven't been back recently, I don't know if this is still the case.
L.A. Fitness is also open now. The last time I was there which was also several months ago before they closed for the second time, masks were required. All the patrons I saw were in compliance, so I assume the staff was enforcing that rule. One thing that is great about this gym is that it is huge. All the equipment is really well spaced although I don't know if it is all 6' or more apart. Anyway, I felt pretty comfortable going there. The only issue is that it is a bit of a drive from where I live.
Yesterday, I ordered and payed for a meatball sandwich from the Subway near me using the Subway App. They give you an idea of when it will be ready for pickup. There is a rack just inside the entrance which is apart from where the sandwiches are prepared. So there is no human interchange. Anyway, I picked it up not realizing I'd forgotten the mask until I was headed back to car. If they saw me, they probably though I was an asshole. LOL!
I find wearing a mask very uncomfortable. For this reason, I only put it on where it is required. It kills me when I see people driving down the street alone in their cars and they have a mask on.

Dude - its a sign of blind obedience to bs rules. Wearing a mask does nothing whatsoever. nothing.

Let's assume I agree with your statement on masks. I don't, but let's assume. I would still where it where and when it's mandatory and also wear it around those also wearing them out of respect/kindness. I put it on when I go into the grocery store. Sometimes I get in my car and forget it's on. Often times until I pull in my driveway I still have it on. So if Prime were driving past me and saw me wearing it he'd be wrong in assuming I'm a wear my mask by myself when alone in the car freak.
That being said, they do work and Dr. Fauci NEVER said they DON'T work. I wear a very simple one layer cotton mask. I put a feather on my desk at work. I put my masked mouth right up to the feather and blew with all my might (no homo) and it didn't budge. That tells me that if I have covid and have my mask on properly I can sneeze in your unmasked face and you are protected. For me it's about others. It's about being my brothers keeper. It's a respect thing. Also, there is no down side to wearing one. There are ZERO ramifications to healthy people masking up.
-
I only wear on if a private biz requires it. Otherwise fng hell f no. Wearing a face diaper is so stupid. It does nothing. If you are not sick - you are not spreading anything. Crazy concept I know.

Fauci actually did say they didn't work. He later admitted that he did such to keep people from snatching them up, so that medical professionals wouldn't have any to use in their hospitals and nursing homes.
The tech-nazis at Facebook and Twitter may flag you for posting any anti-mask stuff, even what Fauci and the CDC said last year.

Whenever I see an asshole wearing a surgical mask outside or in the car I just start seething. It’s good though because then I can hit a new PR in the gym later that day.

I don't care. My point was for me wearing a mask is really, really uncomfortable. It is hard to relate to someone who's able to do that. Obviously, if you forget you have yours on, wearing one doesn't bother you. If you were me, you'd be ripping it off or at least slipping it down as soon as possible.
-
This mask, the Shema97, is the one many NCAA Coaches wear on the sidelines. It has a microfiber insert and isn't that bad, especially if you wear it where the bottom is open (for just the appearance of compliance).

Sadly my gym requires masks or face shields. I'd rather do it at this point than skip working out and do pull it down for the actual lifting for most things. Obstructing breathing for heavy lifts like bench when you have a weight over your head is absolutely dangerous, you can Valsalva yourself and pass out

WOW!
Let’s assume your video ended up with 1 million views. How many people does YouTube realistically think you would influence to not wear masks, 500,000?
The fact that your video was taken down so quickly because your view doesn’t mesh with the “GUIDELINES” is bothersome...... everyone still will wear a mask; the same way we wear shoes and shirts. What a joke.

Covid-faceoff on Train
“Are you f*ckin’ born and bred?!” the woman yells. “Are you a f*cking Abo?!”
Moments later, she tells one of them, “F*ck your face mask you disease-carrying motherf*cker.”

As it turns out, if you're not sick with a virus, you can't spread a virus to other people. Go figure.

No shit sherlock but you can spread the virus before you feel sick.

No shit sherlock but you can spread the virus before you feel sick.
As was the case in a tiny minority of flu transmissions your entire life prior to COVID.
You didn't wear a mask until you were told to. Why is that?
-
Respectfully, why in the fuck do you care? I find myself wearing my mask in my car and other places where it's not required simply because I forget it's there and forgot to take it off.
He doesn’t care.
He is a senile old phaggot who comes here to troll because he has no one or nothing else in his life.
And the shitbag won’t have anyone in the afterlife either.

So wear your mask, peasant!

Oh fuck you, you lazy kunt. Go get off your fat ass and search for research out of Singapore - the universities there are world class, unlike the diploma mill you went to in Florida, lol
Why would I waste my time searching for somehting you either imagined or just completely misunderstood
If you're going to make a post about a "study" then post a link or STFU

Wearing a mask will prevent Covid spreading.
This statement is both true and false, depending on what you mean.
Covid is out there and spreading through the population no matter what. Masks don't prevent that nor does social distancing. Those measures are theater. Look at CA v. Florida or Texas. So it's false if you think prevent means it will have a substantial impact on the spread.
It's true if you think it means it will prevent some amount of Covid virus being spread from that one person wearing the mask. Yes, it will sop up some. But plenty is still getting out.
Not to invoke Howard, but most people wear underwear and pants (double masked), yet you can still smell their farts.
-

You didn't wear a mask until you were told to. Why is that?
Because this is much more deadly, long lasting and contagious than the flu. Also, burying a loved one and coming close to burying a 2nd one. I know a handful of people who a year later still have some side effects from their covid case. I don't know a single soul in the 47 years I've been alive that didn't fully recover from the flu within a week or two at the utmost. I've known one person in the same 47 years who was admitted to the hospital for the flu. I know several who've been admitted for covid.

A mask is like a seatbelt or a condom
Neither of those is 100% effective but they are more effective than not using one
A mask it not 100% effective but it's certainly effective in lowering the spread
that's the bottom line

The spread of some droplets, not the spread of Covid. That article from August 2020 says nothing about the spread of the virus in the population. Pants and underwear prevent the spread of farts.

F that.
Good job

As it turns out, it is just a little more complicated than that according to the CDC. People want absolutes. This virus has only been known and studied for a little over a year. There is no doubt a lot science still does not know about it. It is probably best to err on the side of caution...unless of course you just don't give a shit whether you spread it or not.

Asymptomatic spread is rare. Live your life. Let the other liberal cucks and losers cower in fear in their basements.
-
Rigged these jammies up from some old as fukk stuff around that I came across. 35lb and 90lb kettlebell just like that. Old plates, a little chain, piece of pipe and look at that.
Can do farmer carries, up right rows, back rows, swings, all sorts of stuff.
Going into a gym and having to wear a face diaper is one of the most absurd things I can imagine.

Thank you Dr. Crusher for you good advises. :)
Lucky me, can't cower in the basement because I don't have one. If I did, I'd have built a gym in it and I'd be working out there which is preferably to cowering any day.

24-Hour Fitness is open in Oregon too. I am waiting for my second COVID shot next week before working out at the gym again. It is gonna be great though if I don't start out by overdoing it. :)

They just opened there THIS YEAR? ??? . Here in Orange County (FL), they've been reopened since June of last year. But, two of them (one actually in Kissimmee, which is in Osceola County) closed down permanently.
I take it you're not doing the reservation routine they did last year.

Well, some Oregonians like to play it safe....and....our Governor shut them down. The good news is, compared to our neighboring states, the COVID numbers here are much better, as in fewer cases and fewer deaths.
If I lived alone, I probably would not have been as cautious about exposure to COVID as I have been...not sure. I'm a fatalist and if it's my time. then it is my time. But I have some obligation to stay COVID free to protect the rest of my family who I am in close contact with on a daily basis.
It's not just gyms, but all businesses that are surprisingly hanging in there and likely scraping by with help from the federal government. Honestly, I don't know how more restaurants aren't going bankrupt. A place where I like to go to breakfast was always packed before COVID now with the rules about safe distancing and capacity limits the are probably making around 25% of the income they were before.

Floridians do, too. But, there comes a point where the "cure" is worse than the disease. Besides, we can proverbially walk and chew gum at the same time. Our governor issued guidelines but he let the mayors do their things for their cities/counties, provided they didn't turn into DeBlasios or Lightfoots.
To my pleasant SURPRISE, the mayor of Orange County (a liberal, whose wife is a former sheriff and one of the most left-winged congresswomen walking this planet) actually took a balanced and sensible approach to this matter.....for the most part.
The restaurants here are allowed to be opened at at least 50% capacity, unless you have a sob story as to why it should be less.
As I said earlier, our gyms were only closed for three months. Upon reopening, we had to use the 24-Hour Fitness app to make a one-hour reservation and check into the club without the fingerprint thing. The 30-minute close time for cleaning really only lasted 5-15 minutes and (at least where I train) they let you back inside to keep training until the next group arrives.
That all ended in September. I'd say it's about 80%-85% back to normal. The kids' club is still closed and the mask police don't bother you anymore once you checked into the gym and (in my case) go upstairs where the weights are.

To me, the "scam" isn't the virus itself (a turbo-charged version of the flu, in my opinion). It's the over-reaction by politicians and the devastation caused by that.
How does Fauci go from no masks are required to needing TWO masks? Same goes for the CDC.
How do you go from, "it's no more dangerous than the flu" to break out the lamb's blood or your firstborn kids are history?
How do you bash governors like Kristie Noem who had one of the lowest death rates of any state (despite not shutting down her state at all), while slobbering over a fool like Cuomo who had people dropping left and right, courtesy of his screwball policies and strict lockdowns?
Why are the tech-nazis on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter so desperate to SILENCE anyone who doesn't bow down to the current (and I stress, CURRENT) coronavirus dogma. Heck, just post what Fauci and the CDC said last year about this mess and see what happens to you.
Why were the vaccines so DANGEROUS when Trump was president but are being praised to the hilt with Biden in the Oval Office? Notice that we weren't supposed to even have vaccines for another 2 years or so.
How can Florida's gyms be reopened for over 9 months while places like Oregon just opened up their door this year?
Coach's mileage may vary.

Several months ago, gyms opened up for a short while in Oregon. 24 Hour Fitness was open in the way you described, by appointment and with shorter hours. They've continued with the hands free check in. Although I have yet to go to the gym, I'm anxious to see how that works. There are also a few independent gyms which never closed. How they managed that, I have no idea.
I am playing it safe. I'll go to the gym after my second COVID vaccine which is next week. I've waited this long a week or so longer isn't a problem.
-

What new information? He admitted that he downplayed the mask thing, out of fear that people would snatch up all the masks and leave none for healthcare workers. I gave Fauci the benefit of the doubt, initially. As Belle from "Roots" said, Either you lied to me, old man; or you been lied to!
The CDC has their Facebook accounts saying that masks were NOT necessary nearly one year ago today. What exactly changed?
He also claimed as late as March of last year, that coronavirus was no more dangerous than the flu. What exactly changed?
Fauci said we'd have to be locked down almost indefinitely, until a vaccine was found (and that would take almost 2 years). Yet, when we had multiple vaccines rolling by 2020's end, he was STILL talking about lockdowns.
Idiots, tend to ignore any and all information that doesn't support their preconceived beliefs
Indeed. They also mindlessly follow so-called experts, leaving critical thinking and common sense at the door, to support their preconceived beliefs.

Well now (at least in Orange County, FL), they're virtually work as normal. There are no more appointments; the staff can clean without closing up shop for 30 minutes, which I attribute to two local clubs shutting down permanently and the staff from there moving to the other locations.
You can do the fingerprint scanner again or use the app to check into the place. You wear a mask to get past the front desk; but once you're past there and onto to the main floor (which is upstairs where I train), it's business as usual. The "mask police" have softened their enforcement drastically.
The kids' club is the only thing that isn't open. But, just as well, my son is either too old or right at the max age limit. I just checked the website. It's 11. So, I won't be able to use much longer (if at all) anyway.

Ive been going to the gym for months. My protocol is leave my mask on at all times. No matter what, I don't lift the mask to scratch my nose, I don't pull out my phone. Any time I'm near a sanitizer I use it. After my workout I sanitize my hands as I leave the gym. I see people walking around with no masks. That's their problem and I hope they are fine.

Protocol, if you will, for me: Keep it on to get in the building; wear it in between sets when necessary but not during performance of exercises (particularly any mayor exercises with heavy weights, i.e. leg presses/squats, benches, military presses).

Seems reasonable.
I'm about one week out from my 1st Pfizer shot. My final will be the 19th of this month. From what I can tell, the most recent data suggests that at 2 weeks out, I'll be at 80% immune. The 2nd dose will add another 10-15% and potential longevity. By next week I'll just be wearing the mask when mandated.

You are definitely more cautious than I am with regards to mask wearing. I always only worn one when and where it is mandated. When I speak with service people, such as my gardeners I stand about 4' away, maybe more. They don't wear masks when they're here and neither do I. Some folks, like the arborist chose to wear a mask when we were checking out what work needs to be done, that's his choice. The CDC has lessened the distance from 6' to 3'. For awhile, it appeared that about 50 to 60% of the folks out for a walk around the neighborhood wore masks. Currently, hardly any are.
Supposedly, COVID is on the rise again. There's talk the governor might revert to stronger restrictions. Honestly, the longer this goes on the more obvious it becomes that the scientist are shooting in the dark....meaning they are making best guess decisions and then waiting to see how it works out. this is not very comforting. People prefer solid answers. But when there are none....it just is what it is.

Right because the clinical trials new medicines go through before approval are normally much more extensive and therefore take a lot more time. Whether these vaccines could be classified as fit for human use will depend on a couple of things. Firstly, with a pool of tens of millions of people as test subjects, the trials are way more comprehensive. Secondly, with mutations, the pandemic could go on for quite awhile which should provide better understanding of whether it works and any side effects. The one thing we will probably not know is the long term side effects. That can take decades to determine since while the subject may have no adverse side effects their unborn children might. As was the case with Thalidomide babies.
-

Lets hope you and not those wearing masks get the last laugh. Should you somehow become infected with COVID, do you think it will change your opinion about mask wearing? Be honest. Mine is a serious question. I am not just pulling your chain or trolling you.

I wear one when forced to do so. Otherwise, no fucking way. Fauci is a farce. Just because one is an MD does not mean they are without faults or an evile agenda. Don't believe so? Dr. Josef Mengele. Talk about a mockery of the Hippocratic Oath. Fauci changes his tune on this virus more often than President Biden changes his mind or his Depends.
For those of sound mind it is obvious that evil doesn't have wear a Swastika.
-
Got vaccinated early with the medical personnel and first responders. I wear a mask when I go anywhere. Austin still has a mask mandate, but nowhere is really enforcing it. The gym I used to go shut down only a few months in to the pandemic.

Thalidomide was drug especially for women suffering from morning sickness, its women who took it that had the deformed babies...it was only tested on animals before it was passed fit for humans
if they had tested if first on pregnant women they would have known the damage it caused.
This "vaccine" isnt even a vaccine as it contains no active covid, it is a gene altering therapy treatment.
seasonal flu this year will kill many thousands of people who have had the vaccine as it will cause the body to violently react to any coronavirus
It will be then you see the bodies piling up that were faked last year.

Are you honestly comparing Dr. Josef Mengele (Todesengel) with Dr. Anthony Fauci?
Nobody, not even doctors are infallible. The whole world is learning about COVID-19 at the same time. Decisions and recommendations are literally being made on the fly. There are bound to be missteps.
"Wear a mask....don't wear a mask....wear two masks and a visor." "More testing....less testing." "We have ample quantities of the vaccines....we don't have enough vaccine" "Vaccinate the old and infirmed first....vaccinate first responders first....vaccinate everyone at the same time."
(Florida) "It's efficacy is 95%, no 60%, no 80%, etc." "The number of cases and deaths are declining....they've plateaued....oops they're increasing." "Shut everything down....open somethings up....shut some things down again." There are more unknowns than knows. Guess work isn't fact it is a best guess.
It is no wonder people are all over the place when it comes to COVID. I get it. What I don't get is why such a resistance to error on the side of caution when you are dealing with something which is life threatening.

I get it. What I don't get is why such a resistance to error on the side of caution when you are dealing with something which is life threatening.
if you are fit and under 60 the chances of severe illness are infinitesimal.

Lets hope you and not those wearing masks get the last laugh. Should you somehow become infected with COVID, do you think it will change your opinion about mask wearing? Be honest. Mine is a serious question. I am not just pulling your chain or trolling you.
No, because wearing a mask or not does not protect you. What it does - IF YOU ARE SICK, lessens the viral spray and load. Asymptomatic spread is spread and we know most cases are gotten by being inside w sick people.
So I try to stay outside as much as can. I train outside. Have not wore a face diaper at all unless a store requires it. Thats it. Nowhere else.
At this point we have all been exposed to this virus in one way or another/

The gyms in my area, St Charles County Missouri reopened last June with few restrictions, no masks. No big Covid breakouts.

That's near St. Louis, isn't it?
I haven't been near that area, since my daughter's piano recital where I had to drive over 3 hours from Kansas City.

Yes. Saint Louis City and county are a bit more restrictive.

Thank you. This crap has been far too politicized, especially on the left. It's being exploited for the main purpose of stripping of liberty, freedom, and money.
-
Everyone who got the Vaccine should be on their knees thanking President Trump for it.

Finally we have something in common. Like you, I only wear a face (diaper) when it is required. That's it. Nowhere else.
I am claustrophobic. I feel like I am suffocating whenever I have it on. Not only can I not breathe, I often cannot see where I am going because my glasses are fogged up. Face masks further isolate me. I'm also hard of hearing because of old age and too much blaring music, etc. Even with state of the art hearing aides, everyone wearing a mask sounds like they are mumbling. They and I get sick of me asking them to repeat what they said, so I just pretend I heard them. I've learned to agree to nothing. ;)
I have probably been exposed to COVID, but the risk of exposure is most likely greater for you then me, because I have become a total homebody/shut in. Not that i wasn't before this viral shit hit the fan. I've had my car for 5 years now. I know this because I financed it for 60 months and I made my last payment this month. The odometer shows that I have a little over 28,000 miles on it.
Life's a bitch sometimes.

So far, no mask mandates at our friendly neighborhood 24-Hour Fitness....at least not in Orange County (FL).
