DR Bennet Omalu’s struggle to discover chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a degenerative brain disease linked to repeated head trauma, was chronicled in the recent Will Smith film “Concussion”.
The good doctor spent years trying to get the NFL to take the condition seriously since he first came across the disease in the brain of former Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Famer Mike Webster, who died in 2002. Since then, studies have shown that several former pro football players also suffered from the disease.
Omalu also has an interesting theory about an infamous NFL name. According to him, OJ Simpson is likely suffering from CTE.
In an interview with People Magazine via the Huffington Post, he said he would “bet [his] medical license [on] that diagnosis, based on Simpson’s profile and the size of his head. The latter’s head is so large that he needed custom-made helmets during his pro career.
“If you have a bigger head, that means your head is heavier,” Omalu said. “That means the momentum of your impact would be bigger. It’s basic physics.”
Simpson himself has hinted toward this as his legal team, in its effort to get a new trial after he was sentenced to 33 years in prison in 2008 for armed robbery and kidnapping, began playing up the possibility that the Hall of Famer has brain damage.
“I was knocked out of games for such head blows repeatedly in the 1970s and other times I continued playing despite hard blows to my head during football games,” Simpson said in 2012.
And while the only way to diagnose CTE is to examine the brain after death, Simpson’s former business manager knows something is wrong.
“Everybody who knows him knows there’s a problem there,” Norman Pardo said. “There’s something wrong with his head and there has been for a long time.”
Simpson was charged with the murder of his ex-wife and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994. He was later acquitted of those charges.

I just checked the 10-day forecast and the weather looks pretty good. Daytime temperatures in the high 70's and low 80's with nighttime temperatures in the high 50's and low 60's (this is a little too chilly for me).

Have you heard of zero gravity for sleeping? Among other things it is beneficial for people suffering from blood clots. I'm attaching a photo of a recliner that is in the zero-gravity position. Depending on how tall you are it might be possible to recreate this position in your car using dense foam rubber or using some other materials.
When I replaced my bed last year, I bought an adjustable bed frame that has a zero gravity setting. Although I have no issues with blood clots, I set the frame to zero gravity every night. Once I got used to the change from sleeping flat, I started sleeping "like a baby".
Because the legs are raised while sleeping in a Zero-gravity position, blood circulation is improved. The increased blood flow reduces swelling, promotes healing, and prevents the formation of blood clots.

Everyone sleeps at night. Some people sleep on their sides with their legs curled up. Not everyone gets blood clots. Maybe that's part of it but maybe you're also in the car during waking hours just sitting around being immobile. Maybe obesity and sleep apnea is playing a role. Now they're in their 30's/40's and they trying to get clean, living in a sober house but the only jobs they can find are in gas stations, laborers, etc. But they don't want to humble themselves and those jobs are somehow beneath them and they eventually relapse when they realize how badly they fucked up.

There was a giant rec yard with a 1/4 mile track around it. Weight room, indoor basketball court. Food was garbage but it was free. Can't see how living on the street is much better. You beat women though so violent offenders have high security levels. You would be in a maximum security prison. They're no joke
