Look at his competitors lol. He will look like a swimmer next to them. Will his ego recover when he places like 12th place at the show?
-
He just needs to load up on seo, which im sure he will.
-
Under Markus tutelage and mentorship with the floodgates opened, I am looking forward to witnessing his ascent into ifbb superstardom
-
Urs is not big enough. He has great calves and shape though. Will have to see what he looks like on the stage. I wish him well.
YouTube thumbnail is photoshopped by the way - his arms don't look like that in the video.
-
Markus looks healthy for 75
-

He's still big, in his day he was just the biggest mass monster
-
He'll do well..for him. It's smaller show. He's going to have bring conditioning other wise if he stands next to Oliva or Budeshim (sp) he'll get wrecked. Needs to stay in classic.
-
Who knows, he might surprise a lot of doubters. I just saw a bit of a video on Nick's channel where he said Urs has been as heavy as 280 with a lean ass LOL! Urs says he would have to burn off 35lbs of pure muscle now to make weight for classic, which he claims has already taken a toll on his health, mentally too, in past shows. Nick speculated that Brazilian guy might make the switch too.
So he has small arms. But look at how shitty many of the other guys look. If he brings the best conditioning it can bump up his placing a lot. Isn't this type of physique what "we" have wanted to see in open bodybuilding? :D

Dorian had terrible arms too after all.

He's outgrown classic in my opinion. I think he should do smaller open shows and gradually come in heavier.
-
He's so much smaller than everyone else. His arms suck. If he places it will be because of his name.
-
Markus looks healthy for 75
75 lol.
-
Markus still has old oil in his biceps, from his heyday.
-
Markus arms look very strange.

Then IMO, he's going to have to take at least a solid year off to just train, eat and grow then think about something in year two.

I agree with that. Curious to see how much bigger he comes in this weekend and what the conditioning level is.

A good 15-20lbs

A good 15-20lbs
Anything more than 20 and he wont be conditioned (in my opinion).

BREAKING NEWS: Urs gets a haircut! He looks every bit of 27 years old.
-
Urs needs to visit the judges all of them in there hotel rooms and bring his ass ! And show them why he is called the Berlin beast
-
Looks like banks
-
2 words......He`s fucked!
-
Dorian had terrible arms too after all.
His arms were good and made his lats appear bigger. Had more flow. Ronnie was a jumbled mess in some shots because his arms were so big.

Now he's got his make-up on - it's gettin' dead serious >:(
-
You notice most guys still get tan top from the spray tan and don’t do their faces anymore so the faces are a lot of them either pale or white back in the day. I understand that yes over tanning is not good for your skin but all the 70s and 80s guys had a great tans
-

Looking menacing with the plucked brows too.

nj they had natural tans where there even tanning beds back then i wasnt old enough to remember. i remember mentzer said he would go on a roof to tan and it also helped him eliminate water from the heat. these guys today are to lazy to do that hell they can barely get up a flight of stairs withought running out of breath.
urs will have to have ass hole reconstructive surgery soon. he has taken alot of abuse between the drugs and his sugar daddies

I think the reason is rather that there was no skin cancer awareness back then as opposed to now. Arnold and Franco would cover themselves in olive oil tanning for hours in the midday sun on Venice beach back then, today everybody knows that's basically suicidal behaviour.

would probably offend the far left as well, cause like they are abusing the enviroment with there sun tan oil and big muscles !
could you imagine the sick depraved shit arnold and franco would do with nanci pelosi and aoc
"franco you get the old whore lil buddy and ill take the young one !"

Urs looks much better in the Open vs. Classic. Just watched the prejudging on YouTube. Urs is definitely top 3. IMO he's the winner. He's the best overall.

His arms almost doubled in size. He was def held back by the weight cap in classic :o

Yeah, I'm shocked. He looks great. If he can fill out his mid to low back a little more, he's a legit contender in all shows other than the Olympia and Arnold (for now). His conditioning will carry him far. He looks so much better in the open. Props to Urs. He far exceeded my expectations. 8) 8) 8)
-
Sergio and Quinton off once again, could somebody please tell these american idiots once how to diet? Urs should take the win.
-

and his skinny forearms demonstrate how he did it

It's that Boss of Outlaw guy (his "guru"). Dude can pull off miracles. He revived Bonac's career and improved DeAsha. No shade to Ruhl of course.
-
-
He looked great. Strange how his back double has very little detail but his glutes are insane.
-
Urs looks like he has the same issues Ramy had in his midback. It looks atrophied. Don't know if it's from nerve damage or what, because it wasn't that way before. It's like that extra weight helped some parts of his physique but hurt his back.
-
1st callout
-
Looks better than I thought. Props. Double props for the shredded glutes (nh)
-
Quinton and Sergio look in the upper body like they didn't diet at all, like a friggin guestposing lol

The need to fire who's doing their peak week (Quinton does his own) (Sergio uses Boss of Outlaw). Because on their IGs they looked great a week ago.

I'm afraid there are some nerval issues, because his left calf is gettin' that eroded Dennis Wolf look as well more and more. It's a shame considering how big and full his calves were in the early days.

Good point. His calves are/were one of his standout body parts.

That is unfortunate. Same symptoms as Iain vallier, Dennis Wolf and Ahmad Haidar.
They all lost their calves and lower lats
-
Finally something positive. Good for Urs, Congrats!!
-
Where did he place? 16th?
:D
-
I guess the question now is, how high can he place in the Open? I don't think top 10 yet. His back needs work.

And his arms are full of oil.
lmao at adding 3" to your upper arm circumference in 6 months, while adding 0.00" to your forearms.
-
There is no way his arms grew that much legit muscle so quickly.

At that level?
Highly unlikely.

WTF did I say guys! :D :D :D
Haha even beating Sergio, that's great. I didn't even bother watching any video, but I bet he jimmied up his arms something crazy but who cares if it still looks ok :D

Lol, said like you're some kind of expert! Wtf do you know about bringing up your arms? Lol.

He’s been referred to by many as “The Next Sergio Oliva”

Cory Everson says she avoided tanning because she didn't want to fuck up her skin or get skin cancer. She always used self tanning lotions and looked ok for photoshoots and on stage. She had some facial surgery done, and in her case it turned out great! Smart woman with the tanning issue.
-
:D
Looks good there. He really added mass. I guess it helped working with Ruhl.
-
The only thing I can focus from this point on is his left calf which is basically completely gone (while his calves used to be super-impressive). Really f*cking up his symmetry, sad. What the heck are these guys doin'? ???
-
He surprised the Hell out of me...........big props to him.
-
It was a weak line up, but he was in the best shape and probably deserved the win.
He is still light in the torso, especially from the back. Arms have been jimmed up, but no worse than Lunsford.
He used to have nice diamond calves, but they have gone Dennis Wolf now
Overall good showing though. Fantastic quads and ass (no homo)
-

Too bad about his calves. I noticed that as well. I wonder if there is anything he can do to get them back to their original form.
-
Everyone else looked waterlogged/or softer than baby shit.
Do these guys still diet and do cardio or is it completely all just drugs ?

Nerve damage/ or pinched nerve. From compressed spinal disc. Imo...
Iain said on a podcast that a doctor told him it had to do something with lack of blood supply. But that does not explain that in all these cases it occurs both in lower lats, and the calves(mainly lateral calf muscle)

A bit of the Hankins Shaky-Leg going on in the lat spread
-
Likely his calves and back will go this route and look like this in a couple of years

Why is it always the calves and back. How are they interconnected? (Ramy and Wolf too; calves gone, back gone)
-

I believe nerve form the spinalcord compressed/pinched by the same collapsed disc
just a theory but yeah I can't find any other logical explanation

The conditioning modern bb's achieve in their lower bodies is insane. The glutes and hams are carved out of stone.

Why are you assuming they are "doing something" special to themselves for this to be happening? It just sounds like you are sort of blaming them, maybe you're not really doing that, just confused :) I don't know how prevalent this is among non-competitors, if it's an epidemic just among bodybuilders but I suspect not.
Krankenstein is probably the one who might know more specifically what the issue is but I guess it's probably what MAXX says, a nerve issue originating from the back. Way back when some getbiggers were speculating it might be damage from injections which I doubt. It's too bad for Urs as there probably is no cure. So he probably needs to rack up some competitive successes very quickly now before it gets too bad.
I'll see if I can find a pic but Dorian has the same syndrome...

well Dorian is 63 years old Retirement age.. All kinds of muscles disappear at that point :D
but among active competitors it is quite common now.
Wesley Vissers also seems to show this symptoms. Lost inner calves.

And the funny thing is: It always seems to be the left calf even a bit more than the right calf ???

It makes no sense
They could just take either winny or mast and it would dry them out very quickly

Sciatic nerve is left leg...

I was at the show and he easily won. Very good, charismatic, the best poser, aesthetically pleasing and massive, with a very solid lineup of strong guys.
After the show, Tim arrived at the restaurant, tanned, with big, lean arms, and the entire audience was speechless.
and yes, for those who asked Barbara's vagina was visible.
-
Who's Barbara and why don't you post that photo? ;D
-
Pics of Barbara’s Bush?
-
Great frame.
He should use a reverse hyper though.
-
It makes no sense

Taking more drugs does not dry you out e.g. adding Mast or Winny to 2 grams of test and 20iu of GH will not dry out anything, probably just binds even more water. Back in the day some competitors got off all steroids 2 weeks out, Bob Chic even said any bb who takes roids the last 2 weeks is an idiot.
The guys today are leaner than the 90s guys. Fat isn't the issue. It's the obsession with "being full" ::)
-
dorian had amazing triceps he had the best side tricep pose in the business
Indeed

Looking at that shot his frame can handle more mass. Not sure how much more, but definitely a fair bit.

Do these guys still diet and do cardio or is it completely all just drugs ?
They have no natural foundation so when they diet they lose all their size. This forces them to keep the test dosages super high or they look stringy. Gotta blast diuretics and letrozole last few days to drop water, its all very hit or miss.
-
I forgot how good Dennis Wolf use to look.
-
Likely his calves and back will go this route and look like this in a couple of years
Ian trained like a moron and his definition and detail went out the window as a consequence.
