Holland is boning Zendaya, so they probably came as a package deal looking to generate heat from that. Otherwise, this just looks like the standard "throw a bunch of popular stars together" claptrap that Hollywood put out from time to time. I wouldn't even know it was being made if it wasn't posted here.

Definitely a Package-deal

Holland wouldnt accept it unless they brought in Zendaya as well

I would say Zendaya is not a problem as she looks like someone who could at least be from a nearby region.

However, Lupita as Helen of Troy is illogical as Greeks in that time period had no contact with that region of Africa yet. Also, Helen of Troy is described as having fair skin, so definitely not a Nubian.

Another issue is the armour, the characters are wearing fantasy style equipment which might have some slight resemblance to armour 700-800 years later, but even then nowhere accurate.

And then they seem to be using Viking long-ships instead of the more primitive ships they would have used in 1200 BC.

I missed that.

That would be 100% impossible for that time period.

I see there's also an Indian, but I guess he's supposed to be European or someone from the Middle East in the film, because any Indians in Greece at that time period in the Bronze Age is also 100% impossible.

Even if not completely accurate but it's at least based on archaeological evidence, still looks a lot more interesting.

Mycenaeans/Greeks on the left, Trojans on the right:

Trojans are the Turks of today yes?

Or did the Trojans leave the area before it became Turkey?

Same area as Turkey today, but was invaded and taken over by the Ottoman Turks in the 1400's.

Before that, the region was mainly Greek in culture.

So , way before the Ottomans, Spartans were Greek, and Troyans were also Greek, but different kind of Greek.

Maybe like LA-americans and NY-americans.

A bad Nolan movie is still very watchable. It should be fine.
