i dropped weight!!!

...on my foot  >:(

yeah it was at the end of my set and a 45 pound plate slipped and hit my foot. im glad im not one of those flip-flop guys  ;D

Here's something to ponder. Getting ready for football season we use to play catch with 45's, one handed or two. Quickens the reflex's and eye/hand reactions, not to mention the gripping power. The old smooth 50 lb exercise plates (1 1/8 holes) were sometimes used. Those were a challenge. And all done Island style, bare feet or Flip Flops. Sometimes it's good to live on the edge. Like walking on hot coals. If you have a chance, send us the X-rays of your severe arch/instep/toes damage. Good Luck.

Side Bar: What were guy's names? The two dumbells, I mean.

foot is allright. just a little bruised. didnt hit the toes which was very fortunate, could hold you back for months waiting for that to heal...
just shows what can happend when you lose concentration for a fraction of a second... rubber plate too fortunately  :)

Toes are one thing, but be careful of your fingers, a finger injury could slow down your Getbig career for months!

Yep, I like that idea. Some dude the other day asked me to spot him on the bench and there was 275 on there. He didn't look like he could do 200 to me. I told him, "sorry dude, but I can't risk the chance of pulling a tendon in my fingers, I mod 2 boards at Getbig, ya know".

it's got to the point where i mostly train my legs as i dont want to take any chances

Yep, good idea. I am thinking of giving up running, but I really like it. What I need to learn is that if I trip, I gotta take the fall with my face rather than risk hurting my fingers!

That sucks. I rolled over a 45 pound dumbbell over my thumb. It ended up being broken & swelled up about three times it's size.

Never dropped weight on my foot but yesterday I whacked my head on the end
of a straight bar :-\.I had just finished doing squats and was racking the weights.bent down to put down a 45,lifted my head and BAM!!!
I'm blaming it on being lightheaded from heavy squats ;)

you should have told them it was a new training strategy for getting huge.... the very next week all the wiener trainers in the gym would have their clients doing it...

it's just me being hardcore. trowing weights around like branch warren. so what if my foot gets in the way? no pain no gain! what doesnt kill you make you stronger! etc etc

You should start running with your hands in your pockets.

One dude i know was skating like that and fucked up his face falling. But his fingers and wrists were intact!

Damn,what was I thinking ???when I hit my head I should of made sure it was hard enough so that I cut it and had blood dripping down my face.
then throw more weight back on the bar and started squatting again.
that would show my gym what hardcore is;D

You bet I did. Luckily the gym was almost empty & no one was in the free weight area.
