It was already PROVEN that judges were biased against Nasser especially in the 97 Mr. Olympia, so the fact that judges were biased against him is a no-brainer.  Come Sept. 11th and a general anti-Arab mood in the US, you can only bet that bias against Nasser increased.

I also once saw on CNN a documentary by Christiane Amanpour where even she was saying that after September 11th Nasser suffered a racist backlash from judges.

The crack about Nassers racism I made was in jest because as far as i know Nasser never claimed 9/11 screwed him over(as far as I know).  Team gasser started this whole 9/11 screwover crap not Nasser.

I dont think the average american is going to confuse Nasser with a jihadist. Being a bodybuilder and only part arab nasser doesnt resemble the profile that most people associate arabs with. Besides I doubt the judges would mark him down because he was in the bodybuilding scene long before 9/11 and I doubt they associate Nasser with extremism. Judges do make biased calls but if anything it would have been because nasser didn't conform to what they wanted to see rather than him being part arab. Hell, he grew up in Germany.

So the 9/11 routine is just another excuse (of many) for team gasser as to why their god didnt win.
