should i be altering my exercises as well? should i be carrying light weights with more reps? or shall i do heavy with normal reps? more reps i mean like 15-20reps and by normal 7-10....
right now i pick heavy (heavy for me atleast LOL)
dumbell press i can pick about 88lbs per side for 7-9 reps
and rod press is about 220 lbs for 7 reps...
and back shoulder dumbless press is about 66 lbs per side for 10 reps....
should i continue to pick these weights or shall i bring them down for my new goal
No need to do high reps,.. I believe it’s better to use weights that allow you to do 7-10 reps but the most important thing is to go to failure with each set.. don’t say I will do 3 sets, 8 reps each.. this is wrong, just do your 3 sets and use the weight that you can do “around” 8 reps with it.. in most of my sets I forget to count the reps, I just go to failure knowing that it’s something around 8 sets or so..
