i think the only thing that scares me about marriage, kids, etc.  is the financial repercussions of getting a divorce.  A

So you get married, have kids, everything is going great for 10-12 years....and then "WHAM!!!"  "I want a divorce."  "I'm just not happy anymore."  Etc, etc. etc. 

Now you are stuck paying alimony and child support because uncle sam doesnt want to have to help out your ex-wife. 

If you could just end a marriage like you end boyfriend / girlfriend relationships then there wouldnt be much worrying about it, but the government totally screws you over.
