What she said is what Christians say all the time.  That's classic church-speak.  We (those who regularly attend church) talk like that in church all the time. 

In churches that think the pope is the anti Christ?

And if that is how Clinton, Bush, or Reagan spoke, show me a clip or them speaking like that in a church.

Guys I don't find anything odd about her statement.  She has the same story with the similar details in each of the clips.  Have faith in God.  God really manifests many wonderful things for people we just don't know how and what ways he's blessing us all.  Thank you God.

Protestant churches have made that claim about the papacy for CENTURIES ON END, since the Reformation. How did this become such big news, regarding Bachmann?

I never knew that.  I attended several Christian churches over the years, one being baptist, the other 2 non denominational.  None of them ever brought that up, in bible study, during church or in private conversations. 

So what happens to the " claim" evereytime a pope dies?  Is it like that guy who rpedicted the world was goig to end last month?  Knd of looney don't ya think?

Notice I said the PAPACY, not the pope. In other words, it's the position itself, not a particular guy who holds it.

ah, no they haven't. grew up presbyterian, then worked with lutherans and episcopalians - none of them have said that.
now, if you are referring to the fringe, fundey-type churches ( turn on any Rod Parsley or the PTL crowd ) and then you'd b right.

I said that Protestant churches have done that. I've seen Baptists, Lutherans, non-demonational, SDAs, Pentecostals, etc., that have said as much.

True.  Hadn't thought about that.  Not exactly a new "teaching." 

Ozmo:  the fact she talked about her faith in a church is what's bothering you?  Do you think she should have made those comments during a campaign speech instead?  Seems to me church is exactly the place where a Christian should talk freely about conversations with God, etc.
