I remember when he got married the first time and Ron put pics up Mel and his wife, Melvin looked literally like a little boy..Like he never lifted at all ever..Hard to believe this guy was 278? at his heaviest working with Chad and saw him weigh in at 243 a week out of the olympia on a BFTO.. Steroids..it's a helluva drug..

Saw him a lot as he trained in same gym I did many years ago. Im not a bodybuilding expert but honestly in a sweater you wouldn't even know the guy worked out. I remember pointing him out to a friend and my friend was like "huh, that's a top 10 bodybuilder?!" Maybe he was off season or cycling off...I don't know...but he looked like an average guy in clothes.

I listened an episode of the Melvin and DJ show, he was making himself sound very broke, pleading for a sponsor and he was going for his EMT certificate/license or whatever it is.

Would be nice if Pro's actually made an announcement like DJ did at the O that they are hanging it up...

damn, I didn't even know he was divorced. did he had any kids with that chic?

That's Mel's own fault. He could easily be a top 5 finisher in the Mr. O or a AC winner...for someone who had SR, John Brown, and VT in his corner he's made a lot of mistakes in his profession and personal life. A sponsor is not gonna pick up a bber who pop locks, but comes out of shape..they want a winner. And he is in his late 30s, he's had his run.
So, he's done the pedicure thing, went to seminary school, now is possibly EMT certified, and is broke? Well, maybe he can live off that restauranteur, if he is still with her.
