We need to also face a problem that the families are partly to blame. The vast majority of the victims are vulnerable underage girls from broken homes with minimal to no adult supervision/guidance placed in homes and care, many already turn into drinking and drugs...etc. This should not be allowed to carry on as this level.

Finland doesn't permit people to run around with guns, we have ridiculously strict gun laws, which means that only criminals are allowed to run around with guns just like in UK. Our neighbor Estonia have smart and fine gun laws, there you can get the permit to carry concealed, registered weapon for self defence, and by this law their homicide rate has drop more than 55% in past ten years. Why, you may ask?

Because, unlike in America, where any fucking insane asshole can get a weapon, in Estonia they are given only to sane and good people. There is nothing which criminals fear more than civilian with the gun. Police has to play by the rules, civilians will follow their instincts, so you never know what they will do. You have high and rising homicide rate AND the gun ban? Why? BECAUSE YOU CAN BAN ONLY THE LEGAL WEAPONS. Criminals doesn't care, they get their guns anyway. If you take away only defensive barrier between people and criminals, who will benefit from that?

And furthermore, if gun ban is main key to the happiness, please explain why there is more home invasions per capita in UK, than there is in USA? Here in finland we have something like five per 10 years, you have something like 160 per day, so there has to be reason for that?
