Women especially (and definitely) do not care about powerlifters and strength.
As long as a man "looks strong" (meaning he has any amount of visible muscle) and has power enough to open a tightly closed jar of preserves he's sufficiently powerful in the eyes of women.
I've sat in weight rooms for years and have outlifted (often with enormous differences in poundages) almost every single gym rat in every gym I've trained in. Not bragging just the truth. Point is, I'm a not a ripped, little guy under 190lbs. Many times I sat next to a "hot girl" in the gym and have done my normal thing and it's typically way heavier than every other person there, but normal for me. A little cut 190lb guy can sit down next to me and the "hot girl" and do the same exercise I'm doing maxing out with a weight I warmed up with and the "hot girl" pays me no attention whatsover and strikes up conversation with the cut 190lb guy LOL.
Now looking like Shrek doesn't help my cause either, but in general power doesn't mean jack squat to women. Further, I snagged my wife when I was the 190lb cut guy LOL...way it is fellas.
So permabulkers just know up front that "fat and powerful" is ALWAYS secondary to "lean" (regardless of size or strength or whatever form "lean" takes). Very, VERY few women prefer a PLr build.
Men might admire power for a bit, but then there bruised ego and competitive side will take over and they'll quickly justify it away with "all drugs

" or "strong but a fata$$

".
Is what it is. If you enjoy strength activities then make sure you don't also crave attention and admiration of others because of your power because you won't find much or any of it from other people. As someone said above, PLing permabulkers are only admired by other permabulkers.
