Rubio would beat Hillary

i think so too.   He'd look dumb at times during the debate due to lack of experience.  he's a bright dude, he just has way big war boner.  Saying he'll shoot down russian planes on day #1 isn't something an experienced person says, it's what he and carly fiornia said.

clinton is a very weak clinton.  Health looks like shit.  coughing spells, bathroom issues... she'd do fine once in office, where she can be briefed while sitting on the can for 90 minutes.  But looks terrible running for office like that.

Rubio probably won't be the nominee.  it'll be trump.  He's a dem plant.  Top conservative George Will thinks so.  And so do many.

In the spirit of fair play, Donald Trump, again, seems to have come off much, much better than I thought and the Pope is coming off much worse than I thought.

The Pope was wrong and though Trump was initially disrespectful and considering he has called into question the faith of Cruz and Rubio, he once again comes out ahead.

I believe that it would make no difference for Trump if you are a non-Catholic, but if you were a Catholic and were a weak supporter of Trump it might have been a tipping point. Now I don't think it will make any difference as far as Trump's support goes -- no change.

It's only the Pope that was the real loser in all this.

The United States should take in some refugees from Syria, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Tuesday night.
"I hate the concept of it, but on a humanitarian basis, you have to," Trump said in his first Fox News appearance in two weeks, appearing on "The O'Reilly Factor."

"This was started by President Obama when he didn't go in and do the job he should have when he drew the line in the sand, which turned out to be a very artificial line," Trump said in reference to Obama's red-line warning to Syrian leader Bashar Assad in 2013. "But you know, it's living in hell in Syria. There's no question about it. They're living in hell, and something has to be done."

Asked if he would have removed Assad, Trump said "something should have happened" after it was revealed that he used sarin gas on his own people.

"Probably, in retrospect, they should have gone in and done something with Assad. But you know, Assad is not our biggest problem because Assad and ISIS are actually fighting," Trump explained. "So now what we're doing is we're fighting ISIS and ISIS wants to fight Assad. Some people could say, 'Why don't you just let them fight out and you take out the remnants?'"

So he would have "taken out" Assad and the area would be an even bigger death-trap now. Sounds like he still does.

Trump seems to fare alot better in one on one interviews and town hall meetings where the vibe is more laid back.

Once he is on the stage with other candidates or facing a testy reporter and the competitive juices start flowing, pretty much all bets are off.

THIS.   His job was likely to demonize Sanders and make the GOP field a mess.  He may actually win this shitty job

Trump reminds me of the rabbit in a one mile foot race who is supposed to bail out of the race midway through but finds himself winning.

For me, Hawaii time, it was yesterday when I made the post.
Why? I've being feeling the trend recently, from personal experience and a few other political based forum on the net, that the people that support Trump -- though they still support him, are starting to question and raise their eyebrows.

Why yesterday in particular? A good friend on mind that was a rabid supporter of Trump is no longer going to support him. Attacks on Cruz. Nasty personal attacks on Jeb. Starting to back track on as promise not to run as an independent. Making claims that seem dubious and cannot be proven (personally saw hundred of American Arabs publicly cheering after 9/11). That he oppose the Iraqi invasion which maybe he did but there is no record of that. That he claim Bush KNEW there were no WMDS and said they were anyway. How did Bush get so smart? What did he know that the Russian, French, Israeli and UK intelligence agencies didn't didn't know? It's one thing to say that Bush was wrong, quite another to say he lied.

And though I didn't plan on voting for Trump for the nominee, I was a big fan of his and actually for the first time looked forward to the debates. But now it's beginning, again, BEGINNING, to wear thin.

Nonetheless, there is nothing in my first post where I mentioned the Pope or his comments and did say specifically: "It's not one big thing. It's a bunch of little things starting to add up and take it's toll."

So to say I started this thread SOLELY BASED on the Pope's comments is just wrong and disingenuous.

I think Bernie will win the majority vote easily for the Dems. But the fix is in for Clinton and her Superdelegates. Bernie crushed her in NH yet i believe they got the same amount of delegates. Insane system...

Still the same.  The irony is, if blacks Don't show up Bernie has an easy victory.  Go figure. They cost him in Nevada.

The Catholics in America aren't some kind of "tribe" of people like the Jews. Catholics don't just stick together no matter what in this country. Most of them were embarrassed by the Vatican and what went on behind those walls and the cover ups that went on. Many left the religion because of that and never looked back. And the Pope comments about Trump were not only misinformed but dumb. You started this thread saying the fall of Trump starts today solely based on the Popes comments. The pope is basically a sideshow that not really a lot of people take seriously. Even many Catholics...Many Catholics in America are businessman. They could give a rats ass about some fruit in a robe...
Good post.

I was talking to Pellius.

I know that once the democratic establishment has finished screwing Bernie, you will switch allegiances to the only other anti-war candidate: Trump.

The most amazing thing about Trump is that he isn't anti-white and minorities respect that.  He is winning record support amongst blacks and hispanics.

... As well as Evangelicals, which is Cruz's turf -- or was suppose to be.

But there still an election to be had in November and considering Trump has broken every rule, every conventional wisdom, and no matter what he says or what he does, what he knows or what he doesn't know; he still comes out on top. All the pundit are just baffled and tongue tied. There was an honest one on Fox who just shrugged his shoulders and admitted he just doesn't know and Trump has proved everybody wrong time and time again and he just can't explain it.

There is only one other explanation:

Trump is the anti-Christ.

Maybe Wiggs didn't get everything right in regards to the details but he seems to be right that the end is near.

Maybe it's no coincidence that the Wiggster has been MIA.

Let's dispel this fiction that Pellius doesn't know what he's doing, he knows exactly what he's doing. He's undertaking a systematical effort to change this board, to make Getbig like bodybuilding.com!

I'll go ahead and leave this one out there for all you political geniuses.

Ultimately Trump wins the Republican nomination and then goes on to win the Presidency.

I thought they were still angry about the "rapists and murderers" thing.  No?

Not based on their votes and polling, they are supporting Trump in greater numbers than any Republican in recent history.

The last thing they want is illegal immigrants taking their jobs and/or lowering their wages.

Very rational decision on their part!
