I just trained at 1AM, there's usually just 2-3 Somalis there at that time. They all yell while on their headsets; never saw one actually train, they just get into position on the cable cross and maybe do 2 sorry reps with no load on. Today one was sitting on a bench gesticulating wildly, pointing his finger while yelling to someone on the phone. I saw one dare to try a squat on the smith, did two reps with the hooks hitting the bars on the way, obviously thought it was too uncomfortable and that was it for legs.
I don't really mind "eccentric" people in the gym. I saw a short on YT where a youtuber was filming himself doing a one rep max on dumbbell bench. Someone was very angry, yelling, "that's not training! This gym has pro bodybuilders and you pull that shit here!" That's embarrassing for the one yelling imo, let bro do his thing even if you think it's stupid. The bro took it in stride, deescalated the situation. I know I've done "stupid" stuff in the gym, which I didn't think was stupid of course

That video above made think of how I used the Nautilus pec deck/rear delt machine in my gym for the second time yesterday for rear delts. Wow, what a difference compared to the ones with the handles, you get a wicked stretch and as we've learned the stretched position is the most beneficial. Full reps and then shorter until it doesn't move at all. You can do these tiny 1 inch reps for maybe 10 at the end and soreness follows for sure
