agreed, i will say again, calves are ALL GENETIC.
calves were the first part i Ever worked out cause i realised early on that mine sucked real bad. well here i am, roughly 7 years later of trying everything and i mean everything possible for calves and they are exactly 1/2 inch bigger than when i started. theres not a damn thing i can do about them 
I would disagree at the beginning of this year my calves were 15.5 inches and now there just over 16 inches, i changed they way i trained them, i use to go for higher reps but now i train them super heavey and low reps, on the calf raise machine i have to stack 6 20 kgs plates on top to do any decent sets.
