  • Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
i calculated that when i would do it with my friend at such an appartment, and i'd pay half of rent and electric stuff it would be 27% or so

if i would have to do it by myself in a smaller place it would be more like 50%

soo....

rent appartment with friend? some people have been telling me it's a bad idea if you have a girlfriend but i dont know ... i dont want to be broke

financially the cost of about 27 % it think sounds reasonable. depending on size of apartment.

idk what kind of apartment you are talking about, but i guess its a slightly larger one but since you talk about awkwardness with girls, i conclude it is a one or two roomer? maybe under 380 sq feet?

i wouldnt live with someone personally, but many do it.

looking to move out of my mother's basement

is it a bad idea or a good idea to live together with training partner to share rent? i see this could be a good idea only bad part is it will be awkward when girlfriends come over etcetra

clearly gay for pay or in this case gay for rent is the way to go.   Good on you for getting off moms tit and joining the real world. Now somebody else can get on mom!

It'd be useful to note where you live when you say cost per month. Dumping money into a mortage in some area's is basically a savings account where the same can't be said in places like vegas. Also my guess is if  voland is in east euro the market gotta be pretty diverse.

being gay destroys the purpose of getting a reasonable size and quality appartment for the girls

if ur gay might as well live in a small box for $500 a month

vince lives in a trailer park with another man in the south, probably pays $200 for his spot. you really don't want to mess with that.

me, 27% (correction) in san diego after 5.5 mths.  that's not bad at all.

Ok well to give you an idea in the Uk you will have the following "bills"

Rent/Mortgage
Ground Rent (If flat or if special site)
Maintainence (If flat or has communual areas)
Gas
Electricity
Water/Waste
TV/Radio License
Phone Line Rental
Internet connection
Contents Insurance
Building Insurance (If you own the building)
Council Tax (Tax paid to the local authority)

where you the guy who lived in san diego, was posting before i relocated?  it's expensive, but you can control costs going at it single.  plus i've met some really helpful women, even though people come and go here.

Close to the stifling point. Probably still very manageable as I imagine you have a very nice place that costs a lot and thus the other 2/3 is a significant amount.

I currently rent, but owning is what I would like to be doing within the next 5 years -

Here is what my monthly bills look like:

Rent: $1,450 <-- Heat and Hot water included
Electric: $70/month - average (it varies)
Cell Phone, Internet, and other Misc. Bills: Approx. $350/month

So Approx. $1,900/month which = about 25-35% of my net income.

Note: I work primarily in sales so commissions are a big part of my pay and some months are better than others... this is an average.  Oh and no, I'm not a drug dealer for all you GBer's who think that's what "sales" means lol.

i do ok.

not everyone here lives in their moms basement, saving every last penny to buy just one more kit of GH... but im pretty sure they are here too, and more power to them we all have to start somewhere and they'll get to where they want to be in time given opportunity and work ethic.

actually is amazing how many successful people actually do post here, and although its a running joke about the number of jet setters here banging playboy models and etc its not too far off the mark in some cases. i go away 4-5 times a year or so and im not extending myself to do so thankfully- playa last jan, memorial day in LV, peru and mexico again this jan and cuba in march. i have the toys someone my age would like to own, a nice property with a mortgage that over time and prudence has become negligible, disposable income. life is good, and im very lucky and appreciative that i have the live i live. i am truly blessed in every way, shape and form.

Noooooot necessarily under the current uncertainty of the future in many places.

Depends also what country you live in. USA and southern Europe are most probably going to take big hittage economically which automatically means depreciation in values of real estate as unemployment raises.

By renting an apartment now and patiently waiting for the prices to drop you can save big bucks.
also condo fee is high and is like paying rent :(
