There are a remarkable amount of dudes in gyms who haven't a clue what ANYTHING looks like on a bar, save for maybe 225.

I have had guys tell me they've squatted 500 pounds and then they stare at my 500-pound bar counting real slow, trying to calculate the total poundage (?).

There are loads of gym goers who just blurt out random numbers without having a clue what it looks like on a barbell or what the reality is of that weight.

Terry NEVER benched 500 pounds. Like Arnold, the guy is very muscular and "big", but not press-500-pounds big. Not the least anyone who actually does press 500 (raw and without help/massive bounce) has had to focus his training intently on such a feat of crazy strength.

I mean, Arnold at his biggest would have gotten crushed under 500 pounds. He likely would have topped out at MAYBE 435-445.

Lol with a spotter. Get a grip, I have seen guys way smaller than that, put up close to 500 and that was in college. I myself did 405 for a double with no spot and slight bounce on the second rep when I was 21(shameless plug). It isn't a stretch to say this dude can press 500.

I wouldn't put a 405 bench press past him but for him to make asinine claims like 500# bench presses when we see how he trains (that dorky circuit with 135 ... yeah, it'd get you out of breath, but show me one 500-lb. bench presser who would be caught dead doing that shit).
