He would easily have been able to stay in the league as a backup or 3rd string QB. That part isn't even really debatable. His ego got in the way.
Tebow does seem like a good guy to me, but I have a feeling that he enjoys being the center of attention. You don't get that by being a 3rd string quarterback, Fullback, or special teams player.
At 29, Tebow is running out of chances. I don't see him making the Major Leagues.
tebow will sell jerseys and put asses in seats. I dont even know what the minor league team for the Mets is, but in a month, we'll probably all know it, having been the #1 story on sportscenter a few times.
he brings great value because he has a huge fan base. and in return, he gets a chance to be relevant and live his dream, trying out for a new sport after washing out of the NFL. He didn't have the intellectual horsepower to be an analyst. Did you hear Peyton Manning doing ONE off-the-cuff play-by-play during the thursday night game? Dude was perfection, and knew the play inside and out.
Tebow was rather plain and a tad slow when working as an analyst. I think he'll move on to giving speeches next.
