Spoke to a guy i know who has been vegetarian for around a year, his training is on its arse and hes declining rapidly.
Hes eating 8 meals a day to try and take in enough protein.

Seriously, whats wrong with people who want to make life so difficult for themselves.

How is it 'hard' to get enough of any nutrient?

It's not like you can't walk into any grocery store and buy a bag of soy meats with macros identical to chicken, beef, fish...

Protein in bodybuilding is way overrated. Aside from that, there are great vegan ways to get complete protein and plenty of it. Oddly enough these are not methods derived from vegans, yet part of world diets from pre biblical times. Nothing new here folks. Don't buy the hype that you need x Amount of protein per pound of bodyweight to gain muscle. There is no science behind it. Do your own research with an open mind.

Best gains I ever had were on a vegan diet. Would probably the case for most people but you need to know what you are doing and a little about nutrition.

I admit I occasionally some fish (salmon) around 2 times a week. Other than that purely vegan.

Nope, there is no extra magic to being vegan.

I've considered eating vegetarian or vegan for years and I never do it because meat tastes so damn good.

I might one day, or I might be full of shit forever.  But I love animals.  Also cooked, unfortunately.  Disquietude, dudes.  :(

What is it about my post that would prompt to call me a rude name?

And what relevance is your perception of race to veganism?

My grandad ate cakes and biscuits for breakfast every morning, lived to 87

Some people get high cholesterol regardless of how they eat.

Age has a lot to do with genetics and eating healthy will allow you to live as long as your genetics allow, unhealthy foods will shorten your lifespan, if your grandad ate healthier he could have lived to a 100 instead of 87

this is how my diet would look like if my only goal was a longer lifespan:

25 - 30 % protein ( meat, fish, eggs)
50%  fat ( fatty meat, fatty fish, eggs, omega 3, olive oil, coconut oil, nuts ...)
20 - 25 % carbs ( nutrient dense sources like vegetables, fruit, some extra water soluble fiber supplements)
