I'd like to think that had the Beatles come about in the 90's they would infact have sounded just Oasis. Its all about progression, Beatles music is ok to listen to on Smooth FM on a Sunday afternoon but who makes that anymore?! Nobody. Music will always evolve, i think Definitely Maybe was the natural progression from what the Beatles were doing and what they would have done at that time.

The Division bell isn't even real Floyd...anything after Roger Waters left is not Pink Floyd music.

Maybe that is why I enjoy that song then.

I had no idea Oasis was still a band.  They had those two good songs...actually one in my opinion because wonderwall sucked.

Lol, your opinion is invalid since you think they had 2 good songs, you just exposed yourself as only listening to what's on popular radio/billboard 100.Try branching out on your own and listening to full albums!

If trolling, good post. If serious, you've greatly underestimated Groink's musical ear.

Who?
Right now I'm doing alot of country/southern rock type music, with some heavy stuff thrown in for the gym.

My brother is a awesome guitar player who has played with or opened for all the classic southern bands back in the day,,,Skynyrd,Allmans,Tucker, and Hatchet 8)

There is an absolute hilarious irony with that.

I'll just say kudos to those that actually know who the pet shop boys are.  8) Ahhh.....the good ol days........

Even Paul McCartney has said nice things about the Pet Shop Boys

Listen to our track "I get along " 2002

Experts says there's a lot of the "Beatles fresh sound"  in it... (including Ringo)

Enjoy :

I know Beatles are Gods among mortals.  With 27 number one hits.

But pick their 5 best songs compared them with Oasis 5 best.

I'm going with Oasis. Easily.

1-live forever
2-don't look back in anger
3-sad song
4-wonder wall
5- champaign supernova.

ive got to admit i was never an oasis fan, always thought Liam was a big twat...

who said somthing about us brits needing oasis because you had grunge?, we were all raving back then, its only took you lot 2 decades to catch on....

you can only compare the beatles with the stones... and for me it would be the stones hands down, they made some real crap, but amongst the crap are some amazing songs, paint it black etc etc

Oasis are OK, found the fighting between the Gallagher brothers entertaining.

As far as Radiohead goes the only song I have ever listened to by them is Creep!

I heard their first two records in their entirety...just like some people say they are "meh" when it comes to Radiohead...I'm "meh" when it comes to most bands. they all sound the same.  Oasis was ok..they had some good songs....but they are nothing special IMO

Radiohead and Pink Floyd are more than likely my most listened to bands (along with Echo and the Bunnymen, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Smiths/Morrissey, Van Morrison and Peter Gabriel)

If you can listen to either OK Computer and/or Obscured by Clouds and not have a greater appreciation for both bands, I don't want to have a beer with you.

Radiohead are one hit wonders, everything else they do is rubbish.
