Who is "many"? "Many" people here on getbig? Who are my two bosses adversaries of?
Amazing you can form an opinion on matters of which you know far less than you think you do....
I think the fact that you are a Weider/AMI employee, is what many resent about the job you do as atheltes' rep. Seriously, you have two bosses, who happen to be adversaries. And since only one of them gives you a paycheck, at the end of the day, you're going to keep them happy.Employees and Mgmt are adversarial by definition. Employees would like to be earning what the mgmt is earning, or more, as they do the hard work. Mgmt would like to be paying guys minimum wage, as they run the system and employees are plugged in. Call me cynical, but in general, employees always want to earn more, and Mgmt would always like to pay less. Can we agree on that much?
Now... BBing is just like that.
Employees = Bodybuilders. They would surely like to be earning more money than they currently do. Therefore, a person who represents them - and their goals - would like them to be earning more money. And you do that.
IFBB/AMI = Mgmt. They would like to be paying guys the minimum they have to, and they would like to keep most, if not all, profits made. This is normal and there is nothing wrong with it.
Since you work for teh athletes as their representative, you wear a hat that says "I will fight for more money for these guys". But since you ALSO work for Weider/AMI, making you their subordinate employee, you have to do what they say. And, since bosses will give their underlings tasks which help them achieve their goals (one of which is earn more money), you are inevitably going to have to choose a side.
It's like this in every field. Name one other example of a guy who is employees rep, who also gets an independent check from the bosses that the other guys don't get. I mean, you KNOW you can't play too rough with manion, or you'll lose your check.
Not ragging on you, but your response sounded condescending "Amazing you can form an opinion on matters of which you know far less than you think you do....".
You asked, "Who are my two bosses adversaries of?"
They both have the same goal - get the biggest share possible of that money pie sitting on the table. Therefore by definition they are adversaries of each other- they are competing for a finite number of dollars.
It's just like one guy playing for the Bears and working as an asst. coach for the Lions. When they play, there is only one "W" up there to grab. Will the guy put his resources into helping the Bears win? Or will he "do his best" but at the same time ensure the Lions end up just one point ahead at the end?

See what I'm saying?
