Despite your size and muscle in your heyday, you couldn't work up the courage to compete in a bodybuilding show despite all the encouragement you received. You basically relagated yourself to a powerlifter with few accolades

Keith never said he was a competitive bodybuilder. He liked being big and strong. He also realized bodybuilding was a go no-where proposition for most. You practically have to sell your soul to be a pro bodybuilder. Not even mentioning the drugs and crazy diets. Why would he have wanted to do that? Why is somebody called "brave" for going on stage with no muscle or conditioning? I call that being a fool.

These guys are in here so they can say that they competed in a bodybuilding contest. Most of them look about the age for a big mid-life crisis. This is almost as bad as marathons. The average time it takes for a marathon runner to finish the race now has doubled in the past twenty years because of these fat amateurs who aren't really competing against anyone but instead do it for their inflated sense of self-purpose and ability. There is a girl where I work who thinks it is a huge deal she ran a marathon and is bursting with confidence. She was an hour slower than the winner and was beat by a 75 year old woman(she is about 32), but still considers it an accomplishment. What a joke. Just because these people feel like killing themselves doesn't mean they are entitled to kill competitive sports so they can feel better about themselves.

Pretty sure that particular guy is deformed...

If I remember correctly his internal organs are mis-shapen and he has a severe curvature of the spine... born that way. He supposedly got into bodybuilding through physical therapy.

Kudos to him for competing.
