Again, I am no P-diddy fan, and now that I am an old foggy I agree with some of what you say about much of the culture being negative, and there are many who can not see what most of it is, which is parady. His business acument is impressive. His net worth is more like 250 million and his clothing line is expected to gross over a billion in the next 2 years. Yes, there are those who have acquired more wealth, but that is not to say his accomplishments aren't impressive. And you have to remember that the VAST majority of the wealth generated by "hip hop" culture comes from White middle class kids, NOT, from the so called violent underclass you so despise.

I remeber I would turn the radio on and hear a song and I would turn the station just to hear the same song, sometimes the same song he produced would be on 3 stations simultaneously.  But, I respected the man's hustle. Sorry, but you have no credibility... I've lived in the Ghetto of Jamaica, Queens NYC most of my life and I can tell you from experience that while the bad schools, lack of money are big problems, the culture is far by the biggest problem. Well I guess Jamaica isn't so much of a ghetto anymore.

Kids who are absorbed into this Hip-Hop culture have a tendency to be disrespectful and have some kind of militant mindset. The main reason the schools are fucked is in large part due to the culture, kids wearing New Era caps in class and listening to 50 cent ring tones on their Nextels ruining it for kids who want to learn.

I've talked to many African Americans who themselves have come to despise it as they see what it's doing to some of their youth and the bad wrap it's giving them.
