Hey Ron...
I'm hitting shoulders tonite. How does one STRETCH shoulders in a DC way? Is it the same as 'ballistic stretching'? How do you DC a shoulder session? Are you at liberty to outline a basic plan here? Mr.Dante won't mind...me and him are dear friends.
copied and pasted from the original dog logg:
Shoulder stretch:
SHOULDERS: This one is tough to describe -- put a barbell in the squat rack shoulder height -- face away from it and reach back and grab it palms up (hands on bottom of bar) -- walk yourself outward until you are on your heels and the stretch gets painful -- then roll your shoulders downward and hold for 60 seconds.
basic shoulder routine would be a a movement where you can make the biggest strength gains on. You can gain more on pressing movements over time than you can doing laterals. Take a military presses, nice heavy weight and do the usual stuff. 8 reps, stop 15 deep breaths, 4 reps 15 deep breaths and then 2-4 more, you should fail on the last "mini set". Next time you do the movement up the wieght or beat your reps with that weight. Use your 3 favorite movements and rotate them, so your only doing one each workout.
after you reach positive failure, take a 10 second break and do a static hold, whre you start off at full extension and lower the weight about 6 inches and hold it until you cannot hold it up anymore, then stretch.
