OH YES, Gladys Portugese...with arguably THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FACE in FBB history (you know, she was no less than a former Cosmo mag. cover girl...and also worked as a N.Y. model in the '80's!!!).

Anyway, the URL link to her on the youtube clip, listed below, shows Gladys in her dehydrated pro. IFBB pre-contest condition doing her posing routine...and yet she still looks great! Imagine what she looked like in her softer, off-season, condition in the prime of her young womanhood in the mid-80's (of course!)!??

The judges should be blamed because the perfect example of that was the outcome of the 1997 Ms.Olympia in Zoo York. Based on what I saw it could have went either way but in my JUDGEment, Lenda Murray should have taken back the Ms.Olympia crown. That is based on your opinion of what a Ms. Olympia is supposed to look like in the modern time of November 1997. There would have been more interest as to the outcome of the 98 Olympia since it wasn't in the states.

Nice argument, but you actually have to go back to 1988 to see where it all went wrong.

NOTE: I loved the hypermuscularity of women like Kim, Lenda, Bev, and the others, but even a hardcore schmoe like myself can admit that the evolution happened too quickly.

The federation missed the boat by not correctly awarding the 1988 Ms. Olympia title to Anja Langer. If they'd gotten it right, the entire history of women's bodybuilding would've been completely different, because Anja would've remained active in the sport and the physique standard established by her would've been the model for at least the next generation or two.

I have to respond to this post because I don't want you to continue believing the idea that "OneBigMan" is who you believe it is.

As for the discussion as to who is the best female bodybuilder, lets keep it going since the Ms. Olympia contest hasn't truly been the same since the 1999 situation when it was initially canceled and then changed for the 2000 Olympia.

The layout she did in one of the first few couple of issues of Masino's Muscle Elegance extreme magazine was somewhat tasteful and "off the charts" for a female bodybuilder who did earn quite a bit of income. People were concerned, Sally was afraid and Ray thought he could get away with murder.
