I actually wish I stuck with martial arts when I was younger instead of playing football, there's potential to make more out of it without being in the top 1% of genetic superiority. Plus, my knee would probably be in better shape.

my brother played football and he's about 5'9 or 5'10, very good reciever, fast etc. They had college scouts come in and the only guy they would look at was this guy who was 6'5 and over 350lbs, they were just hypnatized by his size...problem was he couldn't even bench 225 but they gave him a scholorship anyway...I just shook my head.

Yeah, my buddy was 6'5 and around 310 and he had the scouts oggling him, even had Miami asking for film and the kid wasn't very good at all. He graded out worse than some of our smaller lineman in the games but the size is what everyone wanted. He had trouble benching 225. Ended up getting a 550 on his SAT's and going to a prep school and plays for Buffalo now. hahahaha, monster fall that was.

a buddy of mine has a brother that played a few seasons in the NFL, he was telling me how much gear his brother had to do just to make the team, it was like

the guy played a few seasons and then got cut and realized his body was getting destroyed, I think he's a teacher now.

anybody else supplement thier workouts with this type of stuff to stay limber?

It has actually been bandied around that I can benchpress the Earth for 500 reps and squat it for close to a thousand, easy...and the only reason why I stop is that I'm falling asleep of boredom and hit the couch...the couch formed by the stars of the universe...
