Did you start following BB yesterday? Oliva's tris & forearms were much better; that's 2/3s of the equation except to those dazzled by biceps peaks. His arm size was also bigger, relative to his height, so overall it was a draw at best for Schwarzenegger.

Just to repeat what the beginners here don't comprehend: there are few good shots of Oliva in good condition, unlike Schwarzenegger who was Weider's boy and heavily photographed each month in Muscle Builder, for years.

Sergio and Arnold are tied genetic wise. What it comes down to is conditioning and Arnold wins on that. I'd rather have oliva's physique though.

Schwarzenegger never had that kind of balance top to bottom, nor did he have the quad or ham size to offset the upper body except by posing the legs to create an illusion. Nor did he have the extreme waist to lat/shoulder taper Oliva did.

Given all of those advantages, when Oliva was in shape it was either a coin-toss or slightly in Oliva's favor, as Schwarzenegger himself said.

But overall he had the better structure.Tiny waist great proportions.But lets not make Arnold to be a gh gut. His waist appeared tiny in most all his shots and only was 34 inches contest ready. That is not large at all for a man of 6'1. Retards lie about there waist measurement all the time. I doubt Sergio's was a legit 28. More like 29 - 30 imo. Arnold had better arms. Yes Sergio had better triceps but his arms as mentioned before had no shape and zero peak to the bicep. While fantastic they are not as good as Arnie's. Chest goes to Arnold hands down.  Legs are the same size. But again Sergio has no detail while Arnie has separation ahead of his time. Early in his career Sergio has better calves but later Arnie had bigger and better calves. Arnold presented better condition then Sergio also. If Sergio had gotten more ripped then he would have beat Arnie more times then he did. But he did not.

There's not one thing that Schwarzenegger wins in this pose, actually.  Waist size was considerably different = big advantage in waist-lat/shoulder taper for Oliva.

Arnold was the best BBer in the world in 73' through 75'.  No one came close those yrs.  He could have continued competing, improving and winning several yrs after that as well.  It was the 1980 Olympia that was questionable.

Sergio was awesome!  Some bodyparts better than arnold and had a better taper, but Arnold had advantages in other bodyparts, usually was more conditioned and presented his physique better.  Even though there was favortism by the Weiders, I think Arnold still deserved most of his victories.

Only a lightweight would make such a black & white claim about '73-75, someone lacking sufficient initiative to find out otherwise. If you did it becomes purely a matter of personal preference, no one's clearly better in that time frame. Arnold did not come in his best condition 73-74 by accident; he was expecting Oliva to show up.

Besides which, it was Arnold who refused to accept Oliva's challenge at a non-Weider contest in '74. You say he was so great but he was too much of a pussy to come out of the audience, while Columbu did. You were too busy worshipping Schwarzenegger's balls to get all the facts first.
