The actual list has had MA is first place many times over the years. For 2007 MA was second to Vermont in the listing.There are several lists. Some are fake or "urban Legends" and some are actual listings. Most people who say things like " A education from MIT or Harvard means nothing in the real world" are just plain old haters, could never get in and are pretty delusional
The smartest CITY foor 2007 was Seattle. But even that is scewed since it has a very small population compared to bigger cities.
MA may not be the top state for 2007 but it is always in the top 3. It has been Number one many times.
