Top 6 re-qualify not top 10

That was a rule change, implemented in
2003. Prior to that, a top-10 placing at the Olympia qualified a competitor for the following year's show. Kamali's 10th place finish in 2001 qualified him for the 2002 Olympia.
There were a number of rule changes, regarding qualifying for Olympia that took place in '03. Some of the qualifications methods that were stricken, I believe, were:
- Winning the Mr. Universe (World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships)
- Top-3 finish qualifying someone for the next two Olympias.
- Lifetime qualification for any former Mr. Olympia.
