Errrr, yeah, bodybuilding is not about ego at all  ::)...

What other kind of lifting should there be than lifting as heavy as possible with decent form?  Most big guys don't use what the squids on this site consider to be perfect form.

For that video in particular I don't get why the guy wouldn't use full reps.  He is obviously VERY strong.

dont make shit up..i never said you gotta lift like a girl and 5 sec up and 5 sec down with so called perfect form sometimes you need abit of a loose style. what i said is that that guy didnt incline 455 for even one rep. he did half reps.

those weren't even half reps, they were barely quarter reps, he lowered the bar half way and only pushed the "reps" 4 inches or so.

hahahahaha, exactly, it would have maybe been a little more impressive if he had actually locked the weight out but he didn't even do that.

Anybody who really knows about training...knows by lowering the bar to the chin puts more emphasis on the pecs, the top portion..Charles Glass has his clients do it that way...And that guy in the background with the hat on and black t-shirt looks huge!

Then lemme just say that Charles Glass don't what the fvck he's talkin about.....that said, I'll go with the "all drugs" for the mass gains.

Actually the form is not the problem.  His range of motion is pathetic.   Might be as strong as Pat Robinson with his 1200 leg press.

On the internet everyone uses 130lbs dumbbells for inclines.  I can't find anyone who can't use 405 for bar inclines. They leg press 1000lbs for reps.  Squatting 500lbs is a light day for 12 reps.

The problem with these "legends" is that they are using a very short range of motion to impress their ego.  We all have seen the leg press guy put the back board far forward to cut the range of motion.  Then they will claim I'm almost hitting my knees to my chest.  Monster 6 inch range of motion.  How about these super squatters that barely bend their knees?  One guy told me that I squat real deep when I was just doing parrallel squats.  I told them they were called half squats in my day.  Then I showed him what a full Olympic squat was.  He said your going to ruin your knees.

When you point out to these heros that they are beyond cheating the exercise they will claim that it's intentional and partials are good for you.  They are if you also include full range of motion too.  Here's to all the guys doing partials and putting those numbers in their posts.

first of all, al is not a powerlifter, so who cares if the reps are textbook or not? partial reps are also effective for building mass. there is not only 1 way of doing ANYTHING.

plus,al has taken top 5 in the supers at the nationals. how many of you guys are even big enough to look good in the audience of the nationals???

I personally think quarter reps are difficult. Coleman does half reps in his video and I wouldn't dispute his training methods.
