I know most are second homes because they rent to people but call beach kids/people hicks doesn't exactly fit. Not even sure how you justify a remark like that. Belmar is a beach, Seaside is a beach. If you came to CA, would you call it the shore? No. You would call it the beach and ask which specific one you should go to. And yes, the blue collar people of North Jersey are just a little bit better than AZ but def behind CA. Hope that helps.
Jersey ain't Cali, muthafucka. We don't give a shit what you call it in Cali. THE SHORE is what we call it in Jersey. If that bothers you so, stay the fuck in Cali. We know its a beach feces-breath, but when we go we say we're going to THE SHORE. It's a Jersey thing, you wouldn't understand. I could see you in a crowd of people from Jersey saying "No, its not the shore...its the beach." They'd laugh and say, "You obviously ain't from here. We know its the beach, but we call it THE SHORE. If you have such a problem with that, take yo' bitch ass back to Cali."
We don't have to say "what beach are you going to?" Someone will say they are going down to THE SHORE, and we will say, "What part?" Simple as that.
Everybody in Jersey considers the little towns on THE SHORE hick towns. I don't have to justify it...because its a fact. Once again, you talk about what you don't know about. I used to go to LBI as a kid with my brother years ago. He owned a beach house there. I know that whole area better than you ever coming out to visit your
not yet in-laws.
