Attacking the short head of the tricep
« on: January 27, 2007, 08:16:32 AM »
What exercises really bring out the short head of the tricep? I have huge longer heads but have no side triceps. When you look at them from the back they look impressive but not from the side. What do you guys think would help me with this?

From what I have heard, dips and rope pressdowns.

On Milos video he said that any tricep exercise where your hand is in a neutral position you hit the outer head.

Close grips, and Dips.. dips especially hit both heads hard. Now for "isolation" of the lateral head I reccomend you try Behind The Back Rope Pushdowns. You'll feel the contraction HARD if you do it right  8)

Pressdowns using a variety of handle attachments and close grip benches.  Dips pretty much hit all three triceps heads.

In your case, emphasize overhead extensions with an e-z bar/dumbbell using two hands, and skull crushers.

Reverse grip pull downs on the cable crossover. I have incredible triceps, that is my magig bullet. You might want to do the rope pressdown if you havn't been doing it. PM me if you need further assistance.

I thought your "magig bullet" was a thick piece of pubic flesh?  Discuss.
