No really.  I read it as where all others have to cut a large amount of carbs, african americans need to cut a certain type of fat.  I swear it will not be "another one of those threads".

Anyway, I think am going to try the strategy of eating protein first in my meals and eating alot of carbs early on.

All I have to say is drink beer, even on a calorie deficiant diet, only drink lets say 18 beers a day..  you will get bloated and lose size period.  Ever seen a homeless alchohalic ripped?  Hek no...

While "a calorie is a colorie" may be oversimplifying it, TA is right about one thing... in bodybuilding, people tend to place WAY too much importance on macros.  It's nowhere near as complicated as everyone tries to make it.

caloric defecit equals weight, combined with continuing to lift heavy  and you should be good.

Keep your protein moderately high, fats will automatically be were they need to be if you are eating quality protein sources. Red meat, eggs (whole) chicken, turkey and tuna to a lesser degree. Keep your carbs only as high as they need to be without getting fat.
