Exactly, the fact Bob isnt willing to admit to this shows how large the problem is considering his candidness on most other aspects.

Agreed he is brutally honest regarding bodybuilding for the most part..... I think the homoerotic themes are part of the reason bodybuilding will never go mainstream...... Just look at the PDI which I rwspect for trying to help bodybuilding, but they fucking dress up like male strippers...... Arnold must be shaking his head seeing displays like that

The percentages are the same in BB as any other sport...5-10%.

As I said...you see what you want to see.

You look at a BB and automatically think "oiled up men in thongs..gay...etc."

I look at a BB and think....it's a BB.

Maybe you should look at yourself and try and figure out why you automatically have this train of thought when you see a man...

The % may be the same, but the % waching certainly isnt. This is blatantly played up to by the "athletes" to maintain all around revenue, your denial is hilarious.

I dont find anything wrong with bodybuilding obviously I like the sport or I wouldnt be here in the first place..... its just the direction bb seems to e going that I have a problem with.... ie the glute thing.... imo there is no need to so vividly display the glutes

I must say your understanding of the sport is very limited. Again It is obvious that several BB use bad judgement, but that has nothing to do with bodybuiding itself. Maybe we should close the NFL because all of them seem to beat their wifes....come on your poit is so weak.....If you don't like BB is always sycronize swiming

Have you ever been to a BB show? It's about as evenly attended as anything else...I'd venture to say that a football game has a much higher % of men that attend than women....is it "gay"?

What is "blatently played up on"?

The problem is larger than "several BB", why does the average person who has never heard of "several BB" think BB is a gay freakshow?

Chick, when are you gonna get it? BBing is gay is gay is gay... I read it on Getbig, it must be true!!!

Seriously though, this topic does seem to come up real often on here. I mean, what's the point of bringing it up so frequently, has bbing gotten any gayer this past month than it was before?!

Most people cant get into any kind of shape, theres epic jealousy on their part. The people who look at bodybuilding and see men in a gay way have some insecurity issues. All homo's downplay their love for the ass before they come out and say they are a fag. Good luck

I agree thats a small part, but in no way the largest part that turns people off.

True, some people just dont like the conditioning, they can appreciate a sub 10% BB in good shape but not sub 5% ripped to shreds. Either way the majority of people dont even care about health its just weight loss that concerns them and the vanity aspect of it. I know alot of people feel insecure when watching comps though, on one side you go this new age metrosexual man bullshit going on and on the other you got men with insecurity issues.

You would think in the way that bb'ing is spoken of on these boards that bb'ers are giving BJ's to each other on stage & it's part of the pre contest schedule. What some bb'ers do to earn money outside of the contest arena has nothing to do w/competing on stage.Welllll,...unless it's gay 4 placings which I have yet to see definitive proof of.

the bullshit these fools are talking about, are in the vast minority...it's their own issues that make it a priority to frequent a BB site, and spew this garbage...obviously looking for others who have the same outlook...

Birds of a feather...

It's all in the eye of the beholder...

You know what? You are exactly right...i thought this was a "bodybuilding" board when i first came around and then had to realize pretty fast that a lot of folks are anti bodybuilding, anti Pro bodybuilding and so on.

No other reason I can think of....
What's the reasoning behind football pants getting smaller and tighter?

Baseball....went from big old baggy pants, to skin tight spandex-like pants...

Again...whats your point?

The point is that those guys do things that are admireable. People often say " I would like to throw a fast ball like A-rod or Hit like Jeter. I would like to have the hands of Marvin Harrison or the arm of Peyton manning. No one says I want to talk like Ronnie Coleman or have the health of Flex.

So true, the life of a Pro BB is a no win situation.

Bodybuilders are athletes if they can do athletic things, like run a 100 yards..

If by bodybuilding as a sport you mean guys wearing bikinis, oiled up and bouncing off diving boards, and by diving boards I mean penises, then yes I'd consider it a sport.
