Shawns is in his early 40's right? Why not make a comeback? I bet replicating your physique of the past isn't as hard as you think it would be. Or maybe you had some medical problems that forced you to retire?Dude, I retired because I was FULL.
I wanted to begin life after the stage, I wanted to start a family, etc.
I am now and have always been, healthy as a horse.
When I left the stage, there was really no where to go but down. The industry was changing, more dangerous drugs and Guru's were coming into the game.
I didn't want to play it anymore.
That being said, let me set the stage for my last year 2001:
* Levrone, was allowed to compete after Wayne D and Jim M decided he was ineligable due to not signing up for the 01' Pro Season then later not signing the Entry form for the Mr. O (One should have canceled out the other but here is the rules being bent and changed last minute)
I was tired of that.
Later, Cutler FAILS the Diuretic Test meaning: Disqualification, Forfiture or Prize Money and Placement. Neither of these two things happend (Bent Rules again) at the Threat of a Law Suit.
If the rules were enforced, I would have finished in 2nd Place and would have still retired due to what my personal plans for my life were at the time.
I was just tired of how the Rules were being bent and changed, knowing I was DQ and forfited the prize money in 90' by the same ruling bodies in charge.
If the Rules, which are apparently in place to protect the integrity of the contest are constantantly being bent or changed during the show, I wanted no more part of it and left with my belly full and my plate empty.
Healthier and wiser because of my early departure, I'd leave the stage at 36 again due to the life I have now.
No regrets.
