Too much info?
« on: February 12, 2007, 05:11:50 PM »
This female co-worker of mine came back from a sex toy party over the week end. And she discribed the games. Now, I 'm cool with her, we walk out together, and she is an attractive woman. Well, she tells me she won the "Bullet" and says she has to pick it up on friday. We get into an indeph talk about "toys", and then she tell me, "i let you how the it goes" with the Bullet. And she was serious, but at the same time comfortable in talking about this with me. Now let me talk about women, and I am in the doghouse.

Now, I feel odd, because she knows that me and her friend like each other,
But isn't that too much info to divulge to a male friend and co-worker?  Especially since she has never spoken  about such topics with me.

I can only speak for myself, but I am completely comfortable talking with a guy friend about sex and their women.  Maybe she is the same.  She is obviously liberal and open with talking about sex if she is telling you about her bullet.  I wouldn't look too deep into her comments. She is just being a cool chick to be open with.

I don't think it is a prob with her....but her friend (the one you like) may have a problem with it.  I would not want a girl talking about satisfying herself to my husband....

just my opinion.  ;D

I think the same as well, just that this have never happened before. And both of these women will be room-mates soon.

The gal may not realize how her talking about it may affect a man.

A sex toy party? What in the world do you do at a sex toy party and how do I attend?  :)

It's more of a girl thing, I think.  A bunch of girls get together with a consultant from http://www.passionparties.com/ or some other similar outfit, and exchange experiences/ideas, then purchase things which are later either delivered to your door, or you go and pick them up at the hostess's house.  I've been to one, no men were allowed.  :)

Stop being a pussy Parker.

Nope, just cautious about our work relationship/friendship. And trying not to mess up anything with the other woamn.  We talked about it today, It was just that we have gotten to the point in our friendship that she is comfortable talking about this with me. And I gave her encouragement on using her Bullet.

Hi Deedee  :)
Usually around April in one of the buildings at the CNE. A few years back it was so big that they had it in the Skydome (now called the Rogers Centre). If you are really into your sex they have a lot of great things. Lingerie, books even different types of toys. Its really well done.  :)

Hi there! (Having a good time freezing your bunnies off in TO these days?  :D)

I never heard of this thing!!! I definitely would have gone if I had ever heard of it. I don't know if there ever was one in Montreal.  You'd figure there would be considering the people. I think Montreal is one of the first cities to have a co-ed bath house.

Are you in a relationship? If so does she know? Is that what makes it awkward for you to talk about those issues with her?

No, but five yrs ago I asked her out, she said no, she doesn't date people she works with. I was cool with that. No harm, no foul. But we have been the best of friends.  But if I start talking about women, I get the "Why are you telling me this" look. She tends to be ultra-conservative when talking about men with me, or relationships in general. Its kinda like a topic we don't discuss.  But then, all of a sudden yesterday, she tells me of this "toy party", her first one, And the nipple rings she got, how she 's gonna wear them, etc.

I just take it that she had to tell someone, and I was someone she could talk to.

But I did reccommend the Lelo Iris (Dina tried that model out) to her, and she was enthusiastic about it ;D

Oh Deedee...you said it:)
We just got 1 foot of snow dumped on us. I put gas in my car after training tonight and by the time I hit the thirty dollar range I thought my hand was going to fall off. I think Cheri and Mike have the right idea living down south....at least their in bathing suits  :)
The sex show is very popular here. There is also a bridal show once a year as well. Its great for couples planning to get married. Gives you ideas on different types of centre pieces, etc. Well....time to whip out the snowblower folks  :'(

OMG Playboy, ...I think we might have met before. If you've attended, we have definately crossed paths.
I used to sell a woman's intimacy product... infact, our company pioneered it, and brought it to the masses, ...and we held a lot of passion parties as well. Most often we would simply recruit the reps who did them, and they represented toys, lingerie, as well as our product. massive sales in one night cause all the women came to buy.

When I was a distributor with a different company, we used to work the Show every year. One of the guys in our downline had a video store (I won't say what kind of videos) ...but he rents a HUGE booth there every year. The traffic is wild. There's the really big one - "The Everything to Do with Sex Show" that usually happens around Hallowe'en in the automotive building at the CNE, then there's the Spring Fever Show as well. Met Charlie Sheen's former mistress there. Infact, I think she was a co-sponsor of the show. This was before he married Denise Richards. When I saw the accusations in the Enquirer years later.. I thought ...uh-oh. Those shows are just WILD!!!! We've got some crazy pics from those shows., but they were invalueable. We'd take a new rep there, and in one weekend, they got a 1 yr. crash course in how to talk about the business, AND the product. No nervous giggles when they had to mention an anatomical part or explain how to use the product. when there are LIVE naked people walking around in front of you, you lose all self-consciousness. It's a great training ground for new reps and to facilitate team bonding. Everyone is so mellow, uninhibited, adventurous and RECEPTIVE. It was hilarious, I loved playing dumb to alot of the signals and symbols shot my way, ...but hey... whatever floats peoples boats.

One year, I got us a booth right next to the oyster bar, (MAJOR TRAFFIC with nothing to do but wait in line) Of course the line went right in front of our booth, giving them plenty of time to fill out our ballots. All we did was collect leads. We put together a HUGE gift basket we called our "Arousal kit" ...chock full of all sorts of products, we even went around to other show exhibitors and got them to donate contents for our arousal kit along with their business cards of course, and we had people fill out a ballot to win the kit. Over the course of the show, we had at least 30 huge green garbage bags filled with nothing but leads from our target market (name, phone, eMail addies, and an indication if they are interested in the product, the business opportunity, or both).

Speaking of which... I outta tap that list again, ...see how many of them are open to a new biz op.  :)

It comes around every year. It is one of the most successful shows in Canada. The attendance is so large, it is not just limited to sex related stuff, ...everyone wants a piece of that traffic, including restauranteurs, variety store owners, clothiers, art dealers, etc., etc., the traffic is huge.

The best one is the Everything to do with sex show held annually in the fall.

http://www.everythingtodowithsex.com/

Then there's the Spring Fever Show held in the Spring (not as much traffic tho) and their exhibitors are so-so.
Not even sure if they are still taking place anymore.

but you definately have to check out the ETTDWSS --> Check out their Picture Gallery

Their highlights page shows streaming video from when "This Hour Has 22 minutes" sent one of their correspondents to cover the show.

They have some incredible exhibitors... it's not just toys, ...but everything to enhance your intimate life including home design to enhance your space etc. really good stuff. Furniture manufacturers who build with intimacy and preferences in mind. no point in broadcasting your tastes to your mother-in-law, so much of the furniture comes with hidden compartments or overlays that disguise the goodies underneath. It's a must attend, and there are people who fly in from all over to attend annually. I think they also hold one in Vancouver and Calgary as well, but Toronto is by far the best. It's the most successful, and the most well attended of all the shows.

I have quite a few friends who are exhibitors there because I used to have a booth at booth shows, and you get to know each other. We always had a team, and we were the only ones who weren't dog tired because we had so many people manning our booth and walking the floor. By the end of the show, our people were manning other people's booths so they could take a coffee or bathroom break. HA!

One of my friends is a furniture manufacturer. They do bondage beds. It's hilarious. The bed looks like an ordinary bed, ...but then the front panel comes off, ...and there are hooks and pulleys and all sorts of contraptions.

It was sooo funny one year... this elderly couple was walking past the booth, and they were admiring the bed. It looked like an ordinary bed with a large headboard, ...then when they started talking about it's features, ...they whipped the front panel off, ...and the poor old man almost had a heart attack on the spot. {LOL}  ;D

One of the guys in my group... an older married man about 60 had the hardest time. One of the models from an escort agency walked the floor in nothing but bodypaint. She kept coming over to our booth to get a rize out of him, ...and he was doing everything under the sun to look her in the eyes.

LMAO! I would have loved to have seen the look on that elderly mans face when they showed the features of the bondage bed  ;D It would have been priceless. You should check out the bridal show too. Very interesting and they have lots of great ideas and things for people looking to tie the knot....if you like that sort of thing that is.
