I weigh about 103 kg at the moment which is obviously carrying some fat. I still look better than you hidden wannabes!!

Physique photo taken in 1975. I took 2 dianabol tablets for a few months. Wish I could say I never took any anabolics.

Reunion was at a ranch near Kamloops, BC. What a thrill to meet my classmates again. Many of them I hadn't seen for 44 years. Now what is a reunion photo doing on a bodybuilding site? Beats me.

Vince, you looked great back then. Not mind-blowing, but very good. To be quite honest, you even look good now that you are an octogenarian. But that is still no reason to excuse the mental weakness of fat people. And if you're thinking this is some skinny geeks opinion: I'm 25 kg heavier than you at the moment, and not all of that is muscle. [/understatement] I did that to myself by not having enough willpower. The knowledge is there, but it is just so much easier to eat junk and sit on the couch than it is to watch your diet every day and exercise your ass off.

Mr. Basile. Diets fail because they are temporary. The only real way to LOSE the weight and keep it off is to change how you eat, period.

I follow a "bodybuilding menu" if you will; I stick to chicken and steak, whole grains, and vegetables and fruit. I eat like this six days a week, and have a "cheat day" once a week to "keep it honest". I've kept the weight off for almost two and a half years now, and feel great. This works for me.

Diets are a good way to "get started", but if someone is going to get absolutely serious about losing weight, they have to change their eating lifestyle. I'm not saying it should mirror mine, but it is a sacrifice they're going to have to make. If they need that much more encouragement to do so, then that's what they should get. If they're going to do nothing more than wallow around in their own self pity, that's on them.
