Why? Europe has loads of small breweries making speciality beers.  Why import beers when you have quality products on your doorstep? 

I am not saying either is better since I havn't really tried and Micro Brews from Europe but I doubt you ever get any American ones. My area of the U.S. has a lot of good Micro Brews, some of the best in the country.

If i get philosophical, i'd say i lover germany, and that's why i hate what it's become. It once was the home of Philosophy and music, of painting and literature. Then this idiot Hitler came and destroyed everything.

Overall, Europe has the same problem, whereever you look. France has too many foreigners that simply shit on french customs and culture. In europe, you fell like a foreigner in so many parts because foreigners are so many.


Now what do i like? I simply love Japan. When i go there, i feel like a guest, i act like a guest. I'd never break one law in Japan. People there are friendly, there aren't any muslims, christians or jews.
In Japan, if a forerigner screws up, he is banned for life or thrown into jail. Japan has strict laws and the people there act according to them (well in most cases that is. Sure you have crime in Japan, but it's very low).

In Germany, police give a shit about drug violations. In the region i live, cannabis is forbidden, but the police won't do anything if they catch you with up to 5gram. Hard drugs are mostly sold by africans that cannot be prosecuted because they aren't germans and have thrown away their passports.
Drunk driving is seen as a gentlemens crime. I see 12 year olds smoking on the street and nobody gives a shit.
This country simply sucks because there are no rules anymore, everyone does whatever he wants it seems. Total chaos.

Their culture is too "different" for most westerners to feel at home there.  Not only that, but racist attitudes against non-Japanese are very prevelant there.  It's not overt... they are generally polite to your face, and as you say won't break laws, but most of them consider westerners inferior.

I fully understand your desire to escape Europe, but I'd choose either North America or some relatively stable place in the third world (maybe Carribbean or Latin America) where I could live like a king at a relatively modest cost.
