That is a tough question - everyone has thier own ideas on that, and in various times in your life it changes.

Myself,

I especially enjoyed a movie called 'The Breakfast Club' and it still remains one of my favorites. Also, really enjoyed the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, excellent movies. But there are a lot more, I just can't remember them at the moment.

Star Wars - New Hope

Persoanlly...there's better performed movies....but how can you rate a 'greatest movie' without looking at the residuals. This one took the movies light years forward. W/O this movie...LOTR would have sucked ass.

The Princess Bride... Yes, I know it sounds faggy, but it has sword fighting, 6 fingered dudes, and Andre the Giant throwing rocks... You can't go wrong with that.

always hard to say what is the greatest. goodfellas and raging bull will always be up there for me. lots of british films from the 60's starring rita tushingham amongst others. jaws
