I don't think it's such a hot idea. He's been away from boxing for quite some time now. I'm sure his skills are heavily eroded by now. But money talks.

when he retired he has atleast £150 million in the bank (about $295 million U.S.) so money CANT be his motivational factor. If it is then he is in for a serious beating because hes fighting for nothing more than greed

Klitchko will destroy him.. their one meeting was a fix anyway... Klitschko had him straight up on the scorecards, but the cut from the lacing holes on the glove caused them to call the fight.

Lewis retired a couple of months later... He knew he was beat too... after the fight, all you heard was "Look at him and look at me."

Like the fact that Klitschko had blood flowing from his head was the real sign that he should have won... He better stay retired or Klitschko will hurt him, BAD. The guy has the highest knockout percentage of ANY heavyweight champ ever at 92% and weighs 250 pounds at 6'7"... Lewis may need a psychologist if he's serious, because that's just insane.

Dr. Iron Fist will destroy him I'm afraid...

I never liked Lewis.  Always thought he had a glass jaw.  He is just very fortunate to have come along after Mike Tyson lost his mind (and his skills) and when the Heavyweight division went into the toilet.

You might not have liked him but he was the last great Heavyweight.

If tyson kept it together he would have been the greatest imo, but he didn't so thats not any issue.

Lewis was excellent not the best ever but still very good.

He was just on TV denying this story.

There aren't too many things less exciting than Lennox Lewis. I would like to see him pummelled the way Larry Holmes was later in life, just to clarify that Lennox was never great.

I agree.  "Great" and Lennox Lewis should never be used in the same sentence.  Who was that crazy journeyman fighter who knocked Lewis out with one punch?

Klitschko has 34 KOs from 35 wins including one over Herbie Hide (35 KO's from 36 wins) but the only thing that seperates them is Hide has had 2 losses more than him. His record is phenomenal and i whole heartedly believe Lennox should NOT fight again. Forget his legacy, its his health that will be at risk

I remember him. He lost it and had a nervous breakdown in the ring or something. I think he is in jail now.

Tu, ain't Lennox about 6'5", 250? I wouldn't think size would be a big factor?

Lewis was a very tall BIG guy... no doubt... but he never seemed to have any raw power... his fight with Tyson was a sham... I remember Tyson taking a guy that size to town back in the 80s... just threw him against the corner and wailed on him... By the time he beat Tyson... Tyson was a shell.

Klitschko has massive power and while the height / weight may be similar, I'd rather have Lewis hit me any day than Klitschko... I'd rather take that shot than a shot from Tyson in his prime though...

Tu, I am an old geezer at 45 so I saw Mike fight in person back around 1985 and 1986 at the Felt Form and Madison Square Garden proper. I also used to go fishing up in the Catskills around that time and we would frequently see Mike doing his roadwork. I think Tyson 1985 through 1988 would have knocked out Lewis.

I only got to see Tyson on PPV back then, but I agree... Tyson in my opinion from 84-88 was the best ever... he was like a pit bull let off his leash (to paraphrase Jamie Foxx).

I'd talk shit to anyone else on the the planet before I did it to Tyson from that day.

Yeah, um... who did he fight? He ducked the Klitschkos for years... I'm trying to think... he beat both Tyson and Holyfield when they were washed up. Who's left that was great?

Tyson KO'd Lennox when they were in their teens, so Tyson always remembered that and had no fear of him at all. He just happened to be  years + passed his best and incredibly fat when they fought. It was a shame to see him like that because he dominated the first round and then gassed

BTW Lennox has now confirmed he will NOT be making a comeback, even though Frank Maloney stated he would be

Well pumpy its all opinions anyway isn't it?

You may think some people are great and there are others who will disagree.

Secondly who dominated the division like he did recently? Thats why I think he is a great.

However people will disagree.
