After 3 years?

=/

yeap like I said I suck at benching, I don't know why and I have to be honest yes it does bother me when I see somebody else who is not bigger than me and he benches more.
But hey I Shrugg 529 my arms are good my neck is big my traps are to big lol...

I just keep trying, I think one day I'll be over the 230 and move to 300 without a problem, its just a platou.

Edit: Remember that I had not fucking idea what I was doing the first year...  i mostly read books trainings plans bb.com, tried out all different shit until I found out what I need.

You want a gold star?  I'm a busy man!

No, but historically you should be able to do more. I'm worried (well not really) that you might be doing it incorrectly.

eh you aught to try benching like i described a while ago. it eliminates shoulder and tricep involvement pretty damm well. I got "ledges" on my upper-pecs finally because I've been doing it on incline for the past 4 or so months.

Well, I'll see how my new routine goes. I think I should be able to add some more size with it.

No, the deal is that my first two years I had always had problems benching (ie. no progress) but I corrected my form a little while ago and I am making up for lost time and doing much better.  I plan on being near or above 300 by winter.

I've never gotten 300lb on the bench - the best I've ever done was 286 (130kg) for 4.

My calves also suck and I need to trim down a bit.

it;s winter dude, or at least was winter ;)  I think most of us (unless your name is TA) tend to get a little bigger over the wintertime.

its not a routine, its a technique or way of benching. Instead of doing your normal flat, boring, bench in your routine, you'd do this different way instead -- following your exact same routine.

Thanks for the help, but I'm content to stick with my current regimen for now.

6.1/ 225/ 32

I'll be honest after winter time, holidays in latvia (and I really tried not to enjoy the latvian food too much and they have insane good food, I'm probably 15-18% bodyfat atm.

Stark, the most I've benched was 225 and I see smaller guys bench more all the time. The most I did was 225 for 8. Now that's practically my max thanks to HIT. If I never did HIT I would've been on 255 or so. Thanks Mentzer, you asshole.

Thanks you made me feel better, I wonder how that comes that some of us cannot bench that much but still look respectable...
I even had a guy who won Mr Ireland a couple of times look at me and he said I'm not doing anything wrong.

Stark, I could have your bench up to 300 in 13 weeks.

i used to be in the neighborhood of 240 lbs, albeit not ripped.  was lifting very respectable weight in every lift, upper 300s on bench and high 500s on squat and dl, but a slap lesion in my left shoulder sent all that to hell.  i haven't been able to train for the last year, but honestly i'm not sure i mind it.  i'm currently a lean 175, and now that i'm back in the gym i can bench low 200s for some good reps, but i get shoulder pain.  the shitty thing about is that i now have tendonitis in my left arm/elbow, a noticeable tear in my shoulder, and a higher insertion point on my left inner tricep.  i think that may be due to nerve damage, but who knows.  it also affected my lat.  i honestly think it could be the same exact thing that happened to ronnie coleman.  with all that said, i think the new, leaner version of me looks good.  girls definitely notice my muscles a lot more than they did  when i was strong.
