That's always been my thought behind it as well... The guy was a nut, but it's not our duty to decide who is fit to lead a nation... look at what we've done to ours.
But people will ignore this and say that Saddam was a vicious terrorist and was a huge threat to both the US and Israel.
They'll cite obscure mustard gas and other things that we sold him as "WMDs" and say that he gave money to some hamas bomber, as if these actions are enough to justify a war where we've accomplished nothing except for putting money in the pockets of Exxon, BP and Haliburton shareholders.
